I found this place from yelp when looking for bbq on the way home from vacation. There is no inside dining or restrooms available. This is strictly a drive through location but there are a few picnic tables in the parking lot if you want to sit outside weather permitting. Service was quick with wonky on other person on front of us. The cashier definitely had a strong Carolina accent so I imagine they are local. My son and I got bbq sandwiches with hush puppies and fries. The bbq sandwich was clearly the highlight and was vinegar based topped with chopped coleslaw. The fries and coleslaw were just ok for me. I like my hush puppies a little on the sweeter side.My hubby got the 2 pc fried chicken special for the day with baked beans, coleslaw and hush puppies. He thought the chicken had good flavor, the baked beans were a little sweet and the slaw was good. I think it as worth the trip. Next time I'd probably try different sides and skip the hush puppies but maybe they just weren't my thing. I definitely felt like I was getting a home cooked meal.

Had a barbecue chicken/ chopped pork combo. Both were good with a vinegar based sauce. I absolutely loved the Brunswick stew. I ordered corn sticks and they were hot and a little salty. They even gave my dog some hushpuppies at the drive through window.

This is some of the BEST southern home cooking that you will find. The 2 piece fried chicken special is my favorite with fried okra, homemade mac and cheese, half dozen hush puppies, side of slaw, and beverage for only $8! It is enough food for TWO meals! The flounder and barbecue is also very good. Homemade cakes are made daily with strawberry being my favorite. Staff is very pleasant. I stop by the place at least once a week. Highly recommended.

Driving into Washington I saw this place & went there today for lunch.No table service, you go to the counter and place your order and are given a restaurant buzzer to let you know when you order is ready.I ordered the small barbecue plate with fries and sweet tea. The small was enough to fill me - I'd hate to see how much food would have been with the large plate.Great Eastern NC style BBQ pork. Just the right amount of seasoning, and if you wanted more of a vinegar or hot sauce taste those items were on the table.Decor has lots of farm, country, and animal photos on the wall and little country odds and ends everywhere.Very nice restaurant choice for good BBQ.

I had half a rack of ribs, collared greens & fried okra. The hush puppies were pretty unique & fresh. The food was so good here. The servings are huge. Friends had pulled pork & a whole bunch of other stuff. Everything we tried was great.This restaurant has alot of bows & random items for sale & looks like a carry out place. Don't be fooled. If you are in the area, you have to go here for some real Carolina bbq! Highly recommended.

Don't bother wasting your time or gas if it's two hours before closing they're out of barbecue every single time

Hog Heaven is good home cooked Carolina food if it's BBQ or ribs, and fried fish are always delicious. Homemade taste and take out is always available.

This bbq used to be the only place I'd eat.. Now it is just over priced garbage, I have no clue why they decided to change their vinegar based sauce that they had used since inception...

Best spot for East NC BBQ. This place is amazing, friendly, and delicious! They catered an event for me last minute to a ribbon cutting of a new facility for my team, and knocked it out of the park! Arrived Early with Piping hot and tasty food for a large group in Washington! We will definitely be back and when I cater anything in the future it will be from here! Keep up the amazing work, and tasty food!!!

New to the area and looking for good BBQ. Was surprised to find it's drive-up, takeout only. Got the chicken and BBQ combo. The only BBQ that comes with that is chopped. The fried chicken and baked beans were great. The BBQ was dry, no sauces, the collards were cold. It, I gave it a shot.
