Historic Grounds

Can't go wrong for coffee here, especially on a sunny day under the magnolias. Americano was great.

We are staying at the Historic Powhatan resort and walked down to the on-site coffee shop this morning - I got a caramel macchiato, my husband got the latte and my daughter got hot chocolate. The drinks were all piping hot (we could have gotten iced) and the caramel macchiato was delicious. They take cards, have wifi and a nice seating area upstairs. If you're in a family vacation &I need to get a break from the family, this would be a good place to hide!

This beautiful building is on the grounds of The Historic Powhatan overlooking the stunning Manor House, gardens and lake. They have an upstairs to relax and rejuvenate while taking in the beauty. The hours are usually from 7am until 2 in the afternoon. There are many different coffees to choose from and delicious pastries as well.

Coffee coffee coffee. Yes it's a coffee shop. Plenty of outdoor seating with a view of the lake. Slightly covered so you don't roast in the sun. Coffee was ok. Freshly brewed and since it's in the resort you expect to pay a little more. They do serve other drinks as well as some edible looking pastries. If you don't try it once while your here your missing out
