Hickory Ridge Farm was the highlight of our family's Mother's Day weekend! We all enjoyed the food and drinks we ordered, had fun with the farm animals and puppies, and found some great items at the market. We also loaded up on fresh strawberries from the strawberry field. Thank you for a wonderful day!

Beautiful farm! Lots of family fun! I go every season when I visit my family in VA. They have strawberries in the summer, pumpkins in the fall, Christmas trees in the winter. There's always something for the kids to do and great options in the market area.

We've come here two years in a row while visiting the area during October, and it's exactly as I'd hope for a small low key farm adventure. There is a tractor ride, barrel ride (kids only), plenty of friendly animals to pet, games like corn hole and giant connect 4, corn maze, and even a few bounce houses. It's not crowded, priced very reasonably, and feels like fall. Apple cider was a delicious bonus!

My mom and I were looking for a place that sold fresh duck eggs as well as fresh chicken eggs and came across this farmer's market. Fresh produce is available here, from squash, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, fruits (seasonal) etc.... You can also find Amish salted butter logs, fresh baked bread and pound cakes. This place does "pick your own" strawberries when they're in season as well. Two issues I had with this farmer's market were:1. The pull in/pull out isn't well marked for a two lane road that has a speed limit above 45. Getting out of this place also takes patience and good timing as people are speeding coming through that area and it is HIGHLY trafficked. 2. The duck eggs AND chicken eggs were washed already. I would have preferred an option to have unwashed, unrefrigerated eggs... I like to leave my eggs on the counter top and not be forced to immediately put them in the refrigerator. All-in-all, a good little farmer's market with a decent variety of goods for sale. Friendly customer service, and good prices for fresh farm produce.

What a fun time! Took the family here to pick strawberries and made such good memory for the books. The staff is kind and friendly! Strawberries were big and juicy. Cute animals to say hey to! Lots of sun for the kids!

I wanted to be Festive AF this year especially for spooky season because its my favorite time of the year. So we decided to pay Hickory Ridge Farm a visit for there pumpkin patch festivities. We Visited this place before in the summer for honey , jams, and freshly pickled jalapenos which are soooo good. But had no idea there pumpkin patch was this fun!Theres a toddler zone, for the little kiddies with all sorts of activites and animals for them to look at. Theres also a hay ride, a tractor ride, and a cool cornfield maze. Of course there are also pumpkins. Lots of pumpkins. There are some pumpkins already picked and up front for you to purchase. Also there is a real patch full of pumpkins still on growing on the stems if you want to pumpkin hunt or pick them yourself. My daughter and I pumpkin hunted and had fun doing it. They have little carts for you to wheel them around in. The pumpkins were so pretty. There were very colorful ones and even white ones all sizes and shapes. There was food carts there and even a grill that sold hamburgers and hot dogs. If you have a dog who behaves you can even bring it there to walk with you if you want. There animal friendly:)I'm definitely coming back for strawberry season!

This review is for the current fall festivities. I thought this place was great! I took my grandma and toddler. Toddler zone was awesome, endless amount of fun. Toddler maze, toddler bounce house, toddler play area in general kept my kid happy for quite some time. We loved seeing the farm animals in their enclosure, the rabbit and the baby chickens, they all looked healthy. We paid for two pony rides, $6 each ride /4 laps around the small corral. Ponies were very gentle and well cared for. My toddler also loved the barrel car ride! We bought 2 freshly picked pumpkins and enjoyed the snacks they have for purchase. They take cash or credit. I absolutely loved the adult corn maze & the beautiful Sunflower Garden! The sunflower garden is all the way in the back of the farm, it was too far of a walk for my grandma, but I definitely enjoyed it ! All of the staff was polite and friendI realize this is a farm, however, I strongly feel that if you have chickens and farm animals around whom a young child will pet or come into contact with dirt etc that a child may touch, I believe running water and soap should be provided. I am a huge advocate for hand washing especially after playing in a sand pit, when food is available for sale and tables are provided for eating snacks. They do have hand sanitizer and a spout that pumps out water onto the ground, but no soap. For further visits I will be bring my own soap. There are three porta potties on site, one includes a baby changing table.

Last year was so much better. No petting zoo, but understand there could be a very good reason. Corn maze wasn't really a maze at all, just two turns. Just wasn't worth the long drive for us this year.
