Hell's Kitchen

Review is for takeout.I ordered lunch online from here while staying right around the corner at The Main. It had just opened at 12 pm, so they weren't busy at all. We came right at the time to be ready for pickup, and it still wasn't ready. It was ready about 10 minutes later. We ordered a cheesesteak and fries, a cheeseburger and fries, and two sodas. My cheeseburger was very good. The only thing I must note was that I had asked for a medium well burger, and it was very pink inside. Their fries were different, but I loved them! They were smaller sliced potatoes instead of long. Hubby stated that his cheesesteak, although yummy, had a burger texture and taste instead of the usual cheesesteak. Overall, the food was good, but I failed to cook my burger the way I wanted. For that, I have to give them four stars.

We attended the Winterfest light show aboard the USS Wisconsin, afterwards we walked down the street, adjacent to the parking garage, to Hell's Kitchen for dinner. We solely chosen this location based on its high review scores on Google. Upon walking in, we were sadly underwhelmed. The large bar was crowded and excessively loud. Probably because of the college football game being televised. The opposite side of the establishment had only a handful of tables...all occupied. However, we were seated at a booth next to the bar. Not exactly our ideal seating but at least we were seated upon arriving. ( Just three of us, my daughter, wife and myself). My wife and I ordered the Maryland She Crab soup. It was flavorful, but it was a bit on the cool side. My daughter ordered the cheese steak sandwich, my wife and I ordered the steak sandwich. My wife and I received our meal at the same time. This sandwich comes with a slice of onion, lettuce and tomato and a side of fried potato slices. My tomato might as well been tossed as it was a slice of a tomato hard core and was inedible. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium and was seasoned nicely. I was almost completed my meal when I realized that my daughter was still waiting for her meal ! She said her cheesesteak sandwich was very good once she began her meal. The waitress made numerous stops at our booth to refill our beverages. After a day or two have past since this visit, we have come to conclude that because of the event going on at the USS Wisconsin, and the televised sporting event created overcrowding and added to the loudness at the bar which we were seated next too. That being said, there is no excuse to be served luke warm soup and unappetizing condiments with the meal. If it's something that they wouldn't care to eat themselves, they shouldn't expect patrons to eat it. Maybe these issues were due to the busyness of the two cooks on duty. Maybe this establishment is much better when it's not as busy, maybe we arrived on an off day.. either way, I don't think I will be dinning here again.

I got the chicken Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. It was a larger portion but super yummy! Our service was phenomenal, she was down to earth and helped out recommending items. I've always liked a low/ warm light ambiance; they have a lil bar seating area as well; it was perfect to watch the Super Bowl.

The food and service was great! I loved the dark atmosphere. I sat down and was greeted right away. This was my first time here and the waitress was more than willing to suggest her favorite things on the menu (that's a good sign if the staff will eat here) .I highly recommend the wrap below!!

NOT associated with Gordon Ramsay. This is a hole in the wall type vibe bar that also sells food. The tuna was dry, the bun was burnt. The asparagus and seafood nachos were good. The shrimp poboy was good but the bun was more hotdog bun versus sub/hoagie style.

Food was good. Buffalo wrap was awesome. Steak was decent. Broccoli, mashed potatoes, and fries were good too. We were especially pleased with the prices for the food we got. Server was attentive to needs. It's just the vibe and crowd that was slightly off. The vibe has the potential to be cool, but we had a table of 4 behind us with 4 people talking and it was LOUD. We could not carry on a conversation. The tv behind the bar has weird memes playing. There was a drunk guy who was dancing across the room from the entrance to the bar near the cooks. Just a weird environment that I'm not sure the food justifies...

When I'm in a town I'm not completely familiar with, I rely on reviews to steer to the great local eateries. More times than they're spot on with the recommendations. This is one of those places.I was greeted immediately and given a menu. It looks a bit divey but cool. The staff was super attentive but not hovering.The menu is a mish-mash of favorites. So there's all sorts of choices. That makes it harder to choose. I ordered the crab cake sandwich with some mac and cheese. Great combo for my carb load. This place is going to be my go-to next time I'm in Norfolk.

One of our favorite restaurants was closed, so we headed over here, and we are so happy we did.The crab soup was absolutely delicious, and so was the crab dip. I was so hungry I didn't even get a picture of the seafood Alfredo pasta, that was also very delicious. My husband's buffalo chicken cheesesteak wasn't the best, but he really enjoyed the asparagus and nibbling off of my food. The service was good, our waitress was attentive, and everybody was really friendly. Everything seems fairly clean in here, we did not use the bathroom, but I presume it would be clean as well. One cool thing, if you want to pay less , bring cash. The credit or debit option is higher.They also have a bar, if you're looking for some alcoholic beverages, selection. Stop by if you haven't already !

This will be the last time I ever eat anything from this Hell's Kitchen. My coworkers placed a pick up order for lunch and this is what we got. Why would you serve someone this crap? Also, my coworker who placed the order called them to let them know that we were dissatisfied with our meals and they didn't offer an apology, didn't offer to remake it nor did they offer a refund. Never again.

This was a good stop for a vegan option and carnivorous people :-). It's just as described, an industrial feeling spot that's dark and cool. The service was good. The server was on top of water refills and brought the food out hot. It was very tasty. Definitely an adult spot which I like.
