I was looking for a place to grab a quick dinner (and one that had air conditioning on a 90 degree day) and found this restaurant. After I placed my order, I noticed quite a few to go orders being picked up. I decided on the chicken katsu that came with macaroni salad, rice, and a sweet and spicy ketchupy flavored bbq sauce. The chicken was super juicy, had a nice crunchy exterior, and was not oily at all. The macaroni salad was good, although it needed a little salt. The bbq sauce was a little sweet for my liking, but the chicken was so flavorful that it didn't need sauce. Before my meal arrived, I was given some fried crunchy noodles with a dipping sauce. Overall, it was a good dinner, and if I'm back in the area, I'd stop in and try something else.

My Kailua Pork was delicious; and, once again, the macaroni salad was tasty, too! Plenty of rice cooked just right to top it all off! The gentleman who waited on me was very nice and helpful, too. It was a nice relaxing lunch. Check them out!

Ordered takeout and got the walnut shrimp, Mac salad, and crab rangoons. Aside from the rangoons, everything needed salt. I'm not a "salt everything" person but this was definitely lacking it, pretty good food though otherwise. The crab Rangoons were excellent,

First time here for a sit down visit at this Hawaiian/Asian restaurant. They have Hawaiian and chinese food on the menu. The food is flavorful and tasty, the boba tea is so good, and the portions are huge. You can tell they prepared the food with effort. This is a great culinary option if you are in the area and hungry.

Hawaii BBQ is a fun local spot to get great Chinese food and try out a sprinkle of dishes from the 808. To date I've tried their lumpia, loco moco and Kalua pork with cabbage. The lumpia is yummy and I love the way they cook the wrapper nice and crispy. The kalua pork with cabbage comes with two scoops of rice and a scoop of mac salad. This dish is yummy but it was a bit salty for my taste. The loco moco is two ground beef patties on a bed of rice and gravy and topped with an over medium egg. This dish also comes with a scoop of mac salad. Their lychee lemonade is delightfully delicious, so give it a try. I think I'll give the mango fruit tea a try next time.The restaurant itself is dated but exceptionally clean. Service is efficient and friendly. Going to try their Hawaiian BBQ Mix or Seafood Mix next visit.Thank you Hawaii BBQ for a delicious meal

Prices have increased! Food was pretty good but the rice was dry. We ordered crab Rangoons $7.95, spam musubi $8.95, chicken katsu $12.95, Hawaiian BBQ Mix $16.95 (not enough meat for the price). There's a pile of cabbage underneath the meat for every plate. They only have canned sodas for $1.59 each. Tax added is 13.50%.

Food is amazing close to what I use to eat when living in HI. The customer service is friendly, "see you when you hungry" gets me every time. The macaroni salad is authentic.
