Having A Meltdown

The hours have changed so call ahead and confirm! This place was empty the morning we went; the food took quite a while to make and overall lacked the pizazz or extra flavor we were hoping for. If you want a breakfast sandwich and don't have the time to make it at home then this could probably help you out; just plan to wait a bit!

I stopped by today on a whim and I'm so glad I did. I had the Rancher and the chicken quesadilla. The food was fresh and delicious. They loaded the quesadilla with chicken and served it with salsa and sour cream. If you like melted cheese you need to try this place!

Had the Craby Mac N Cheese (~$14) and was happy. Season seemed to be Old Bay. They have canned Pepsi, but no Coke. Tasted my friend's "Don't Pesto Me" and thought it was great. Tasted the fresh basil. Next time I'm going to try the "Savage Ruben".

The hours tend to vary depending on the season, so be sure to check their Facebook page because the owner is always on top of it, so I'm not going to take away a star.That being said, you won't find a better sandwich on the island, and their reuben is probably THE best reuben I've had in my 43 years on this Earth.Definitely a place to hit when in Chincoteague.

When coming to Chincoteague during the off season, your not sure what may be open. To our surprise Having A Meltdown was on the first Sunday of March. We decided on the Meltdown, the Don't Pesto Me and the special of the day which was a cold sandwich of chicken salad, lettuce and cranberry sauce. We added to that an order of waffle fries and a lemonade. This is our feedback:The Meltdown - is a perfectly grilled, four cheese melt. It was gory and delicious and stacked high with cheesy goodness.The Don't Pesto Me - was a very good sandwich with lots of flavor. It is a bit messy since the pesto (olive oil) easily bled through the bread.Th Chicken Salad was very good and should be considered a regular menu item.The waffle fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked the way we like them, extra crispy on the outside and soft inside. So good!The lemonade was outstanding and was served in a quart container.All in all, Meltdown is a great addition to the ever increasing food truck culture in Chincoteague.

What a gem this place is and I couldn't even finish half a sandwich the portions are absolutely huge not sure how they put out this much food on one sandwich for $10 we got the Ruben and split it and it was absolutely delicious tons of meat perfect amount of sauce the only thing I needed more of was napkins and they gave us a bunch! kids got the lemonade and the lemonade with the strawberry was my favorite absolutely delicious... highly recommend!!!

Wow! Having a food coma! Had Ruben Savage and a Slap in the face. First let me say, best sandwich around. Buffalo chicken had to be a whole breast on there. Ruben is real cornbeef(not lunch meat) and piled on. Sauces were on point. The cheese was gooey and delicious. First trip here and will not be my last. Ordered 3 sandwiches only took about 10 mins. After seeing the size and prep, more than acceptable wait time. This place is stellar. Service was great.

We are there for the first time this weekend. There were some unique food choices but everything we had was outstanding. The staff was very helpful and items were inexpensive for the portion size. Great little place to stop for lunch. Be sure to get the waffle fries with cheese/bacon.

Went to Meltdown for the 6th and last time. 4 times for Crabby Mac. Once again, they don't have it. The women behind the counter started yelling about why they don't have something on the menu. Walked away and she continued yelling. Great customer services

Unpredictable as to hours but an amazing Rueben! Don't get the alleged homemade lemonade- it's crystal light at best!
