Hanbury Nails

Looks are deceiving. Very pretty, bright, and generally clean space. Better than most, on the level of mass-turnover nail salons. But here are some notes, in hopes that someone in management will make some adjustments to provide a quality experience:- Making an appointment really just means "call-ahead seating" to get higher on the (long) list. My appt was for 12:00. It was for Mani/Pedi/Wax, but waxing was not an option in the reservation, so I put that in the Notes. - I didn't get called to the Pedi chair until 12:30, and no one came until 12:50. They sat four of us in Pedi chairs at the same time, and we all just waited with bare feet and pants rolled up for a long time. It was cold!! Then I was done with both Pedi and Mani by 1:45, so that tells how rushed both services were. Others who went to the Pedi chairs at the same time as I were waiting barefoot for well over 30 minutes. - First time there. No one explained to take note of the number of my preferred the color from the rings on one of the walls, and I didn't see any bottles to grab. I still do t know how that's supposed to happen upon check-in. so when the Pedi tech asked me what color I wanted, I was basically stuck with a bottle that happened to be near my chair. - The polish is essentially like glitter glue that I will now have to get changed. This could all have been avoided if there were signs or instructions, or a person explaining their process. - I would have preferred the Mani first, but no one asked, and there was no one to tell (check-in is electronic).- "Cheese grater" used on feet, which is no bueno. I didn't think these salons still even did that. And I'm not confident that tools are kept sanitized; the techs carry them around in a metal flip-lock case. - Very significant language barrier, which again could have been mitigated by written instructions on processes, other than the Pedi menu.- I was moved around between services with no idea where to go next and had to explain twice about the additional waxing services I had "reserved".- Bring cash, and bills for tipping!! There is an ATM, right near where I took the photo from.I truly hope you enjoy your experience, but I was on the verge of angry the whole time during mine, not just for myself but for others. Pretty sure I didn't come across that way though, because I know the staff are doing their best, Bless their hearts! And yes, I did tip generously. It's not their fault. Sad face. - I will not be back. For me, it's definitely back to the much higher priced but better value of services at the spa near Regent U.

This review is from my daughter's bestie. Steer clear of this place. I came in today with the intentions of getting a soak off and a full set. That is exactly what I asked for upfront. When I sat down, the nail technician proceeded to use pliers to pull off my old acrylics. In doing so, he ripped the top half of my nail off. I started to bleed and he poured something on it that made it sting and started dabbing at it. It hurt so badly to the point where I got extremely lightheaded and started seeing stars and could only hear ringing in my ears. I got up to use the restroom to calm myself down and when I came back he proceeded to use the drill on my nails after I asked if we could skip over that one. At this point im feeling like im going to pass out andI told him so. He brought me a water and they told me to eat a cookie which then made me throw up. My friend helped me to the bathroom and I drank some water and when I calmed down I opened the door to the trash can that I threw up in and my nail technician told me to clean it out and rinse it. Literally left in tears.Worse experience ever.

First time here and I'm glad I tried it. The place seemed very clean. Excellent ambience and very pleasant and polite staff. The pedicure looks goods.

Went to get a Mani and Pedi for the first time. I do not recommend using the reservation system because the lady I reserved with for some reason they claimed did not show up at work. I found that to be a little suspicious since she was one of the most busy and the one mentioned the most on reviews. Either way they put me with another lady. She did a fine job, but somehow the job was split between her and her daughter which I did not understand. As usual most the people here do not speak English, but the decor ambience is very clean.

Emily is fantastic!I needed to get my hands and feet done...baaaad! Kudos to the last nail salon that did my gel mani at (s/o to Soka Beauty in Montreal, Canada) because that lasted 2 whole months. My last pedi was done in FL back in August so it was definitely TIME (don't judge, life is BUSY)!I called just before 5pm on a Saturday and they were still taking walk-ins so I headed straight over. The salon was pretty full on a Saturday evening. I was assigned to Emily and what a nice lady! She told me that they stop taking walk-ins at 5pm even though they close at 7pm so I was lucky!For the next 1.5, almost 2 hours, she worked on my feet first and my hands next, exactly the self care that I needed! My thumb nail had cracked and ripped in the middle, so she patched it up the best she could with some nail glue and finished up with the gel polish. You couldn't tell! The polish job on both hands and feet is very neat and pretty much flawless. We had a great convo throughout the appointment. I am pretty chatty so she was nice to engage. Notes:- they take debit/credit card- there is an ATM on site, I think she said the fee was $1.00 but don't quote me on this- like I mentioned before, last walk-in on a Saturday is at 5pm, so if we apply the same rule on any other day, they must only take the last walk in 2 hours prior to closing. I would just call ahead!Don't forget to practice some self care and check them out! The prices were pretty reasonable too! Stay safe, Friends!

My friend made manicure appointments for the both of us. When we were seated, we were on opposite sides of the store! We asked if we could move and sit next to each other. My nail tech Kevin seemed bugged that he had to move some items so my friend and I could sit together and talk at our nail appointments. Through the rest of my appointment he only said about 3 words to me and mostly just gestured what he wanted me to do which was sometimes confusing. It felt he was frustrated that I sometimes didn't quite understand his gestures. He also cut me on my pinkie finger and didn't say anything to me then. The manicure itself is fine, a little uneven and a bump or two. It was $35 for a gel manicure.

UPDATE!!I came back to give this place another try after their recent renovations. I got dip powder with gel on top (because that lasts SO much longer - at least 4-5 weeks USUALLY at other places). I came on Wednesday afternoon and within 4 hours (first picture), the gel was peeling up. I went back first thing Thursday morning for them to fix it. By Friday morning, ALL of my nails are peeling and chipping off (second photo). I am so upset that I spent $140 for basically NOTHING. Absolutely terrible and will never ever return and make sure to tell everyone else the same. If I could give 0 I would. I just went in for a fill with gel and not only did it take over an HOUR, it's probably the worst nail job I've ever gotten! I am usually so understanding but the guy kept using his long fingernail to push back my cuticle I could feel it digging under my skin. The nails are visibly lumpy but the worst part is the tips (in the picture) will definitely not be returning. Everyone please read these terrible reviews before trying this place out!

Love this place, have been using their services for 16 years. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, clean and updated.

This place is ok but not recommended. They are rushed understaffed and half ass what ever you will be getting done. Not worth money you spend go to a better place. You leave looking like you didn't have anything done mani ped

10/10 for Tracy she's efficient and gave me EXACTLY what i wanted! I definitely recommend going to her if you come here
