Quiet time of day before the swim teams arrive to practice. Great facility for lap swimming and hydrotherapy! I love the lane configurations for North/South amd East/West lap swims! The dive area is set up for those who know how to dive. I even saw some classes posted if you want to learn to dive.

So awesome to have a new pool in my geographical area of Hampton Roads. This has been planned by the City of Hampton for around four years. The doors opened in October 2022. I applaud the city for its willingness to invest millions into a project that will never turn a dime. That's the nature of pools. The location is close to highway I-64 which is a big plus. However it's not direct access and there lies the issue with congestion getting just three blocks off and into the facility during a meet. Surface parking is provided and also adjacent overflow which is needed on meets. A parking garage would have eliminated the issue with overflow, but at a cost too high in my opinion. The venue shines like a pretty penny. The exterior has a cool look and in signage on the building is great! However on the road I did not see a sign. Entry is on the back parking lot side. There is also a small water park for younger children that is seasonal. Inside swimmers can compete in a 50 meter pool or training/lessons in a 25 yard pool that's walled off. The 50 meter is divided by sliding bulkheads that can be converted into two 25 yard pools to run simultaneous competition. The scoreboard is a highlight, but was not working. That is a full star deduction off the review. The timing system is run by industry leader Colorado. The starting blocks were not industry standard, but did have adjustable wedges. The pool currently does not have backstroke ledges and that is also a deduction. A spectator and concessions area is included. A drawback is no large overflow area for swimmers in between sessions. For officials there is a large room to meet and hospitality was provided. All the staff I interacted with her helpful and friendly. Overall very pleased and I'm sure they will get the scoreboard operation the next time I attend a meet. 3.5 rounding up

Such a great vibe and energy, very clean and inviting. We will definitely be regulars here! My only complaint would be the snack bar service was not perfect, sort of took some time for some fries and corn dog nuggets but everything tasted great once we got it!

My third week of swimming here for exercise! The facility is as pictured. Very clean and very relaxed atmosphere. I usually go early in the morning before work and it's generally more quiet. Usually the swimmers at this time are younger individuals from a swim team (it looks like). Although I'd like to see more people swimming just because. It motivates me and makes the lifeguards less intimidating (lol) because I'm not the greatest swimmer myself. I've only been around during night time once and it's definitely more busy then (moreso in the open pool area than the competition pool), but still not as busy as you'd think.Though it was a bit scary for me at first, I eventually got over it and enjoyed the pools. You have a competition pool area which is filled with laps that, if not in use for other events, you can do your laps/exercises there. You also have the open pool to the left where you can do anything you want with some lap lanes as well (great pool to practice swimming). And if I remember correctly there are poolside jacuzzis as well and an outdoor water park that I imagine they'll open in the summer. The facility also offers swimming lessons for cheap, and the membership is a reasonable price. There is also water aerobics and land workout sessions. They have kick boards, buoys, and floating belts also available for use. There are also lockers. Just have to bring your own lock! :) You can check their website for the scheduling of when the pools open/close. Come swim!!!

This place looks extremely promising and fun! However, looks can be deceiving. The splash park blasts inappropriate music considering this is a place for children. Songs are not censored, and most should be!Many lifeguards look bored and inattentive. During a swimming lesson with a lifeguard on duty a parent had to jump in the pool to save their toddler. The summer camp was awful according to the kids. The counselors were rude and mean. Giving three stars because the place is clean, can be fun, swimming lessons are structured well, but there are areas that need improvement (mentioned above).

The pools are amazing! The deepest is 15ft in the dive area. Customer service could improve with the employees. The employees are not friendly at all but otherwise great place to swim.

It's a nice spot for families for the summer or yourself to swim and just hangout. A new family oriented spot for kids to play and swim. The food area is nice to have on spot and you can even through parties there for kids as they swim.

Came here for the latest High School State Swim meet and I gotta tell ya, this place is awesome! Nice concessions and it looks like during the summer their outdoor water play area would be great for the kiddos. Nice addition to the Hampton Roads area!

This place is great and just what the area needed! They have free lockers to use ( just bring your own lock) Bathrooms have showers. Outside splash pad is awesome! My only complaint about the outside is that there is not a lot of shade. They have two indoor pools that we swam in the next day because we didn't want to be in the sun. They were really nice. We dove off the diving boards in one pool and enjoyed the jacuzzi. Then we swam in second pool because it was only about 4ft deep. We will be visiting a lot!!

I attended the Aquaplex with a group of campers. It was a nice time for us. We got to attend from 9-11 since we took more than 60 students. Only draw back was the lazy River and slides were all we could use bc the big pool and play area were being fixed. Great place for a school group or summer campers.
