Hampton Roads Iceplex

Great ice shaking rink in the Hampton roads area. It a great size. Had my daughter ninth birthday here. The staff was great.My only two issues are the timing. Public skating time is very limited. And your not able to bring outside food expect cake and ice cream. Other then that had a really great time

The staff was very friendly.They actually were able to credit the account for missed lessons during Covid which was awesome.The chairs are socially distance for the kids to pop their skates on which is nice.Masks are required.

My niece and I visited this establishment because she LOVES ice skating. It was a lot of fun! At one point during the skate, the loudspeaker came on and told us to turn around. I asked my niece why (she knows more about ice skating than me), and she informed me that going one way the entire time is hard on on side of your body. I thought that was very cool. Also - during one part of the skate, they made it snow on us! It was so much fun skating through the snow!The only suggestion I have is to make the loud speaker a little easier to understand and hear. Most of the time you couldn't hear what the person said and I heard others asking what was said. Most didn't know. But we will definitely be back!

I love to skate here. I just think the place needs new flooring because its worm out. Also the bench's are kinda gross. I would also recommend that when there are birthday parties for it only be open for them there were two birthday parties and something else going one i couldnt skate fast i had to go slow because it was crowded and i could have bumped into a kid out of nowhere.

My husband visited the ice plex for a date night. I'd say that the prices are great... we spent maybe $19 for admission and skate rentals. I will say though, this place could use a major update. Everything inside from the decor to the lockers to the benches have clearly been there since they opened. The place is mostly overrun by teenagers on their phones (yes. While they ice skate), and it got to be very crowded. I'm not sure of what kind of nightly specials they have but it would probably be smart to have an adult night, maybe with some music or something. Just a thought.

I'm into hockey and ice skating and ghis is my local skating rink so ofc i had to go now i go every friday and it's a good way to make friends and hang out it's really fun 7-10pm they have a open skate and they play music they also have seating food and drinks plus it's not pricy the rentals are kinda trash but i have my own so it's not a problem for me. They make it snow some nights to(it's just bubbles) and if you go the same way the whole time it can be hard on your body so every once in a while they will ask you to switch sides for anyone who wants to know

Cassidy went above and beyond to help me today. After a great skate session. I left to go to the car to find out my car battery was dead. I went to the skate return counter and asked if there was a chance anyone had a set of jumper cables. Cassidy volunteered the pair she had and jumped my car. She is a great asset to the iceplex. Thank you Cassidy for your assistance today.

Pretty good experience. The rentals were pretty old and worn but was sufficient. The staff were friendly and kind. I think it would be a fantastic activity to do on a warm summer day like in July or August to cool off!

I always went to this rink and it was great and they had an arcade. Me and my friend wanted to go ice skating today and it said they were open till five we went and they were starting hockey practice and we double checked and it said free skating 2:00 to 5:00 and it was 3:30

I brought my kids here last month. This place was supposed to be cleaned up in between sessions. Place was a mess when we got inside. A bunch of kids pushing and rough housing in the ice. Staff in the ice rink would not even lift their eyes from their cell phones or just plainly ignore those kids This place has potential to be a great experience but needs an overhaul and needs more responsible people to run it so they can enforce the safety rules.
