Hampton Roads Event Rentals

Great job Hampton Roads Event Rentals. We recently used HRER to supply the linen for our wedding at the Freight Shed in Yorktown, VA. All of the linen we requested was ready on time and someone even helped load it into my vehicle. It was nicely prepared, pressed and clean. During the consultation, the staff was able to help me with design ideas and we knocked it out of the park. The return was easy as we just dropped off the linen in the back. I would recommend using HRER for any size event. Thank you guys!

Do NOT use them. They do not provide the service you pay for. We used themfor our daughter's wedding and our wedding guests ended up having to help set up the chairs. Completely unacceptable! They arrived 15 minutes late never got the arch set up and the stations were never taken off the truck and they are ok keeping our money for items never used and are ok with charging us for setting up chairs that our guests had to set up. Extremely disappointed!

Do NOT use this place. I placed an order for tables and chairs as they were closing on Saturday afternoon. I called when they opened on the following Monday (they are closed on Sundays) to cancel because I was unable to arrange the returning of the items on the Monday following the event. (I live out of town) The man on the phone refused to give me a refund although the website says they issue refunds on a case-by-case basis. One would think that being unable to return their products would be a good reason. There was no loss of potential income by another client because they were closed and you cannot order online. It was less than 48 hours. When I placed the order the lady who took my order did not tell me that it was final. To make matters worse, the man who answered my call this morning hung up on me. Very rude throughout the conversation with a 'sorry not sorry' attitude. Very disappointed.

Awful customer service! If you want to make your special event stress free, book somewhere else. I'd check out Distinctive Event Rentals as an alternative vendor in the Hampton Roads area.

We chose Hampton Roads Event Rentals for our wedding based off of the affordability. The booking process was fairly easy, though they have a very limited selection of different styles of dinnerware, glassware, and silverware. However, we found something we liked so we went with it. My first concern arose when I stopped in to view different linen colors (my second visit to the store) and I asked them to show me the glassware I had reserved. At that time, some of the glasses were totally wrong from what I had chosen. They made the corrections and the right glassware was delivered on the wedding day. However, we had a lot of problems with the linens. When I came downstairs to view the reception set up prior to leaving for the church, I noticed that the linens were 3 very different shades of navy blue. This was very frustrating. One was a very dark navy, one was a bit lighter, and one appeared more turquoise than navy. Additionally, some of the wrong sizes were sent. While all of the hangers were marked with the correct sizes, some of the linens on the hangers were wrong. We were so lucky that we had a coordinator who was able to think on her feet and make it all work. It was just so frustrating to spend so much money on rentals and have the company put so little care and thought into what was being sent. Our venue, The Historic Post Office in Hampton, mentioned that they will likely remove them from their preferred vendors list based on the frustration with the incorrect product and the company's response to the coordinator when she called about the issue.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Customer service is argumentative when contact is established. Management used domineering and intimidating language and tone in an attempt to bully the bride but toned it down when speaking with the groom. Strongly recommend using any other event rental company.

This website drew my attention with how easy it was to select my wedding package tent rental. With that being said, I had high hopes but should've been more careful reading their reviews. I was very upset when I got a phone call saying they may or may not have an event planned on the same weekend as my wedding in October. It had been 24 hours since I requested the quote so they should have been able to see if they had an event planned or not. It's the fact that she was unsure that made it look so unprofessional. She said she would call me the next day, 24 hours later, to let me know if she was able to make the rental official. With that being said, I never got a callback and it has been 7 days prior to that phone call. Now, I would never choose them as a rental team because I would not be able to trust that they would be organized or even bring the tent when need be. I definitely suggest you guys keep moving along if you are trying to find a good rental company for your wedding. Every bride knows how stressful it is planning a wedding and this added more weights to my shoulders. Very disappointed.
