Honey, let me tell you that I love honey. And I love wine. Mead combines both to become a wine made from honey. Haley's has nearly 30 meads to choose from. I recommend sampling a few before purchasing a glass. They're not all sweet, nor do they all taste like a traditional wine that many are used to. And a flight of 4 is $15. As for the food, we asked for our charcuterie board to go, and it was still pretty in the box. There's also honey sticks, body care items, mugs and apparel.

Is there anything better than local honey... local Meade! Made with HEART right here in Downtown Hopewell. Stop by for a special event or grab a bottle to take home. While your there you just might meet Tonya - the local beekeeper who has turned her passion into a downtown business. This is such a wonderful local spot!

Groupon led me to find this gem near Richmond. We did tasting first to see which one we like the most but honestly we did not like any... it could be that they were all mixed with other flavors like raspberry, blueberry, and etc. Although the mead was not up to our likings, the charcuterie board was amazing! The presentation was just 10 out of 10. The contents were not bad either - little bit of strawberry, blueberry, grapes for fruits, various sausages and hams, and 3 different cheeses. Great experience!

This is a review of their kiosk at the Chesterfield County Fair. I have never liked honey until the last year, and now I can't get enough of it... if it's good. Not all honey is created equal. THIS honey is amazing. I got the 3 for $20 deal: mint, orange and lemon, after tasting each. Can't wait to have some of this in my tea! Today, I passed on the creamy honey, but I'm sure I'll be back for some once the fall sets in. Seems like a perfect condiment for pumpkin breads and the like on a cool, fall day!Excellent service and knowledge of product by the gentleman at the kiosk. Super nice guy.

The honey ham sliders are unreasonably good. The Bavarian pretzels are the right amount of soft crispness. Im not a big drinker, but I've never had any other mead that I like, so big win. The service is friendly and attentive. Great call coming here.

Small friendly place. They have some food options but I stick to the mead.I loved the cherry flavored dragon heart, with my second favorite being the cinnamon flavored traveler'. I didn't care too much for the 'five and dime' but there probably my fault, since I experimented outside my comfort zone. The 'dusty orchard' was more traditional, for those meadery purists.

We went to the Haleys a few months ago and absolutely loved it! The bartender (can't remember his name) was amazing.... as was our host. The cider samplers were good.... but, the bartenders mixers were excellent, y'all!! He took the time to get to know what we liked/disliked. It was an awesome experience! Cute little spot in Hopewell. Our only wish was that we could bottle up the mixers. Lol! But we'll be back. I hear the food is delish.

This place is amazing and a hidden gem in Petersburg. Thank goodness our Groupon led us here! We had a mead tasting and it was all wonderful. We highly recommend you try our favorite, number 16, Currant Affairs!!! We also had the Charcuterie board and as you can see, it's a work of art. It's so yummy too!We had so much fun talking to Nicholas about pairings and his expertise in mead is wonderful!

What a pleasant surprise this place was. Nice vibe inside, super friendly staff, and their honey wines are great. We actually came here two days in a row: first night to just have wine tasting before dinner and then the next day for lunch. They have a special to try 4 different samples of wines (called a flight) for $12 which is a great deal because they are heavy pours in my opinion. We both got a flight and got a decent buzz. Between the two days, we almost tried all of the wines and our favorites were: 1. #18 Current Affairs (Raspberry + Black Currant) 2. #17 Cherry Kisses (Cherry and Chocolate)3. #19 BlueLine (BlackBerry + Blueberry) 4. #8 Midnight Elixir (BlackBerry + Cherry) 5. #13 Berry Dust (Strawberry) Honorable mention is #14 Traveller's Trough (Apple Cider and Cherries) which was a very interesting mead because you could taste each flavor. I must note that my boyfriend didn't really like the Berry Dust one but I thought it was good. Also noted is that he enjoyed a bottle of the Cherry Kisses with some dark chocolate and a cigar once we got home. And since we tried them all, I have to point out two that we thought we would LOVE, but didn't really enjoy. I suggest picking a different flavor than these two because it might be a waste. 1. #16 Root 10 (Root Beer)...we both thought this would be amazing because we both love rootbeer but it tasted like gasoline. BLECK! 2. #11 Liquid Silk (Vanilla Mead)...smelled great and I was expecting maybe a cupcake/sweeter wine but it legit tasted like a candle or soap or something. And no, I've eaten those things but I would imagine that's what it tastes like. Those two flavors aside, it was super fun tasting all of the different wines and learning the history of the business. We had lunch the one day and my boyfriend got the cheese and meat platter, which was perfect for a light lunch (if you're not really hungry, it would be perfect for sharing while sipping on wine). I got the Honey Ham Slider but substituted the ham for turkey; they were very tasty and came with chips and a pickle. Serving size is small for both so don't expect to get super full. I also got a wine slushie (the margarita flavor) and it was REALLY good. They do have outside seating and canopies set up for shade so it's perfect even when it's warmer out. Also, they have a cute little gift shop with honey products, bottles of their wine, and other things for sale. Our visit was right as things started opening back up from COVID and our tables were more than 6ft apart and all the employees wore masks. I will defiantly go back her when in the area again.
