Wow! I had Hades pizza for the first time at a work event yesterday and the word on the street is right ! The pizza was sooooo good! I got the Athena pizza, I've never had honey on my pizza, and wow this was an amazing touch to a pizza! My pizza was so warm, crispy, and they were generous with toppings. Staff was so friendly and I love how they texted us when our order was ready. That was so efficient in that I was able to walk around the vendors booths at the event while waiting for my pizza. I can't wait to try their pizza again! I recommend Hades wood fired oven pizza!

Tried Hades' pizza at O'Connor Brewing on a Wednesday night. I love that they had so many specialty pizzas to choose from and the service was lovely. It was a chillier night so I was a big fan of the text notification for when our pizzas were ready. Overall, the pizza was alright. However, despite all of the menu options and descriptions, the pizzas looked and tasted underwhelming. Another reason I had to knock off a star was that the entire group I was with (myself included) felt sort of queasy near the end of the meal/when we all got home. It was too common among our group that we suspected it might have been because of the pizza.

We came across Hades recently at Big Ugly on a beautiful evening. I'm not one to turn down a good wood-fired pizza, especially with a tasty brew, so we ventured out to give this new food truck a try.I did a bit of googling to find what they offer and they have a variety of pizzas, vegetarian included. My husband opted for the New Yorker with red sauce, mozz, pepperoni & sausage. I chose the Athena which is a white pizza with shaved squash and zucchini, red peppers, black olives and feta. We saw one of their pizzas at a nearby table, which looked grossly under baked, so we asked for ours to be extra crispy. They definitely were crispier than the neighbors, but still so much to be desired. The crust had very little flavor and never got that crispy. The feta was also put on after baking so it was a weird cold/hot contrast. Maybe it would have been better with a sauce, but even my hubby didn't care for his. He likened it to a frozen pizza. We didn't see any tossing of crust happening, so I wouldn't be surprised if they are frozen. Definitely not a favorite and I personally wouldn't go out of my way to try it again. For their prices ($10 for plain cheese-$13 for specialty individual, 4-slice pizzas), I can get bigger, better-tasting wood-fired pizza elsewhere.
