This store is so much fun. I go there to pick up items that are vintage and building materials for renovation projects. The tile and flooring selection is usually very good and the lighting options are great.I have purchased everything from kitchen cabinets to electrical outlets. I am not sure who donates such top notch building materials but it is awesome to walk in and buy quality items that can upgrade our rooms at such a reasonable price. The staff is always ready to help you visualize how pieces and parts could be remagined into somehing new. I like the cleanliness and the organization of this Habitat Store. Things are easy to find and it you cannot locate it yourself, someone on the staff will walk you right to the item or provide you with exact locations so you don't have to wonder around when you are looking for a particular item.

I used to really enjoy shopping at this store. It was fun finding treasures at reasonable prices. I've noticed over the past year the prices have increased dramatically. $99.99 for a framed "poster" of the Rat Pack? Seriously? I laughed out loud when I came across a chipped Corningware dish for $26.99. I found a half empty can of glitter spray paint for $6.99? The same can sells at Michaels for $7.99. This is a THRIFT STORE, not a high end department store. I walked out of the store disgusted and came across two women talking in the parking lot who shared my sentiment. We all laughed about how high the prices were and went to Hope House instead. I'll never return. Lastly, kudos to the moron in charge of pricing items.

low rating! Awful experience with them! Bought a fridge and it wasn't working! Their appliances are so dirty! They don't check to make sure it is functioning well! We bought a fridge and brought it home. It stopped working a few days and we called the manager. He gave us a $50 coupon to use it our next purchase without telling us that we gotta use it in 30 days!We will never shop here again! You better look somewhere else! Don't waste your time and money here! The staffs don't care or give a shit about you! They just want your money!

First time here & there is a great selection. I was looking for something specific so I did not purchase anything at the time but I definitely recommend if you're looking for household furniture!

My go to place for any furniture or remodeling needs before going to a retail store. The staff is fantastic. Things have been changing there lately- new volunteers, not even close to being interested or helpful in the same way the staff has been. They have a great opportunity for "flea market flip " lovers. If interested in donating to the program, it's possible to take home an item and do your creative improvements and return to the store for them to sell. During our remodel we picked up a beautiful stainless steel warming oven that matched our brand new ovens perfectly. I've always enjoyed finding interesting pieces of art and furniture to use around our outdoor living spaces. ( Flipping them for our own use! Fun!)

My first time at this location was about 3 years ago and some has changed. Upon entering, you are hit with appliances, countertops, and furniture. It used to be clothes but I guess they have gotten away from that. They have numerous shelves of bric brac, but it was obvious that they didn't have the same volume of what they used to have. The second back room used to have all sorts of household items and now it was sparsely populated with shoes and carpeting. I was interested in some of the electronics but when it is priced at $29.99 for a receiver that you can't be sure even works, I thought it was grossly over priced. The inventory also seemed a little low from hers past. Years ago they had two shelves full of opened paint. Now there is one shelf. The highlight is probably the used housewares, like doors, ceiling fans, and misc parts. I think that if I was in the market for something, I would stop here first and see if they have it. If I was a home rehab guy or such, I would most likeY stop here once a month and see if they happened to have something I could use. The downer seems to be the pricing. They have significantly jumped up from 3 yrs ago. I still think bargains can be found, but it has to be for something specific that you are looking for. It would be nice if they started selling more clothing items, but I am sure they had their reasons to stop.

The employees who work at this store are disappointing. Every time I stop in here, I am confronted with the absolute worst customer service. I saw two pieces that I wanted and could have spent around 400.00. Not going to happen.

So much for the name of this organization. My car was caught in a flash flood a few weeks back in the middle of the intersection the storefront faces. I was elated to realize a Habitat for Humanity happened to be right there the exact moment my humanity needed some help. After wading from the car through water above my knees, we made it across the street to the location. A woman immediately came to the front of the store and proceeded to begin closing the doors to my 2 passengers and I. Shaking and still in shock, I explained the situation as I had just moved to the area and had no experience with flash flooding. I was told there was a sign down some road that posted some sort of warning. I replied I hadn't seen any sign but just wasn't sure what to do now that my car was floating in the middle of an intersection and needed some sort of guidance from a local to the area. The employee repeated there had been a sign and closed the doors in my face. What a disgrace to the entire mission of this organization. In the 2 hours I had to stand outside the building for cover while waiting for a tow to be able to reach me, I was avoided like a plague by employees. Very disappointed and will never step foot near an HFH. If you are an organization that is focused around providing care for people, don't just sit idly when someone actually needs help and use that mission as a ploy just to pull in customers.

They have a very large selection of lots of different things. I would have definitely bought more stuff, but they are overpriced on just about everything. Was disappointed cause I really was excited about going here.

There are lots of thrift stores around here for knicknacks and clothes, but the H4H stores have the essential stuff for home improvement projects. I've been to both Va. Beach locations and this one, but this is the place I bought the biggest pieces because it had the largest selection of matching cabinets. It seems more "serious" in regards to how its building materials are organized, because cabinets, carpets and tile are in a different room from lighting fixtures, doors, windows, etc., and furniture is out front. I thought the loading process was pretty easy and the staff were helpful. They've had a 50% off sale going for quite a while so the price inflation others have talked about gets fixed pretty quickly.
