Gun Shack

I'm done w/ the gun shack. I called about a class gave them my phone number and was told I would get a call back it's been over a month and I never got a call. I have two neighbors that are not happy with them as well. One ordered a gun and was told it be in on a certain day it didn't come in which is not a big deal but he was told he'd get a call when it comes in well he never got a call he actually went in about three weeks later and purchased a gun and still up to this day has not gotten a call. The other neighbor was looking for a certain type of gun and was told they are getting some in and they would call him when they come in it's been a few months and he still has not gotten a call and the gun he was interested in I asked about that type when I was there a few weeks ago and they said they sold out.... They have very little amount of ammunition you never get a call back from anyone about anything. Poor customer service. I bought a gun a little over a year ago there and I found out through a neighbor that I should've gotten some free range time which I did not... bye bye gun shack hello Chauncy's ......

Very helpful and friendly staff. Jason was great for lessons, highly recommend him. I would definitely come back here again

Full service gun shop. New 23 yard indoor pistol range, rental handguns and instruction available. NC Concealed Carry classes offered. Very competent and helpful employees.

Have shot at the Gun Shack on several occasions. Range is clean and well lit. Staff is very friendly; made this out of towner feel right at home. Great way to spend a rainy afternoon at the OBX.

They close the range 15 minutes before closing time which is normal and understandable BUT when there's time for you to walk in and shoot and they don't let you, with time before they close, it kinda sucks and creates a waste of time because you don't know when you aren't allowed to shoot if they close 15 minute before but can do anything before then. And also the website gives no info about range closing and when it is available.

I visited the Gun Shack the other day. I wasn't impressed. The store was tiny, the merchandise selection was poor, the prices were high, and the staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. Perhaps they're much better as an online merchant.
