Growlers to Go - Kitty Hawk

Second visit here on a Friday evening. We came for the event...music bingo which was taking place. Huge selection of beer on tap as well as ciders ect. Service was awesome and we did not have to wait to be served. It was great that if there was something you really liked you could get it in a Growler to take home. We will definitely be stopping in often.

The amazing concept of tasting over 40 beers on tap should be duplicated. A few years back we had visited their duck location. This recent Kitty Hawk location was just opened in March of this year. We have visited several times over the summer. They have over 40 beers on tap. Tasting is complementary and they also sell pints and to go growlers. Go to their website where their beer list is updated daily. They have a list of what's on tap as well as listing the cans and bottles. The selection is amazing. My favorites are the ciders and I've tasted several in the past few months. The staff is extra friendly. Staff is there to answer any questions you might have about the beers. Most of the beers are local North Carolina brews. It's amazing to see how many breweries are in North Carolina.There's a small sitting area to enjoy flights and pints. You can choose your own flight selection for $9.

Lots of fun! Service was excellent and the bartender was very knowledgeable. There isn't a kitchen, however you can order from the lunch place next door and they will bring it to you here. Also dog friendly!!!!

This local shop is one of my favorite places to relax. They have local brews on tap and keep a generous stash of craft beers from our the country.The staff is friendly and engaging. I like hanging out just to sample some new beers. You can bring your own growlers to continue your beer experience at home. They also sell pints and growlers for a reusable experience.

Great beers on tap, awesome bartender and great locals to converse with. We will be back!

A OBX must-stop if you like craft beer. Craft Brew Heaven.They offer over 42 taps, varying between selections of sours, pale ales, IPAs, stouts, and more- all local to the NC or VA area. Bonus! They had a completely different selection board than their sister store Growlers-to-Go Duck, yay more beer to try!You can grab a glass to drink on site or buy one of their various plastic growlers to go (sized into pints, 32ozs, or 64oz). They also offer a vast selection of non-refrigerated beer packs-in addition to several refrigerated individual cans for purchase (Bonus! If you create a complete six-pack they offer a $1.50 discount on the pack).The staff was amazing. We had a chance to meet the owner, learning a lot more about the store (specifically how she prides herself on keeping it mostly all local beers NC & VA and how she explores what to put on tap). We also had a great time chatting with the bartender about his beer knowledge. It was great to chat with them, as they made recommendations, while offering mini sample tastings.We ended up making two flights ($9 each for four 5oz beers). While hanging out for a drink, we even made friends with some other craft brew lovers, learning about beer in the areas they were visiting from.Overall, it was a great visit; exploring the local craft beer scene, talking beer expertise.! We ended returning the next night to grab full pint pours & making six-packs to go-meeting another really friendly staff member, enjoying a local brew together!

We've recently discovered Growlers and it's very quickly become our favorite. A unique pub that offers any fan of craft brew multiple choices of styles and brands that cover all the bases. Growlers 45 beer varieties on tap offers local and regional beers and we greatly appreciate the opportunity to try them without having to purchase a four/six pack. More than fair prices and a variety of ways to try them make Growlers To Go a must visit in the OBX. We've also purchased wonderful wines for my wine loving guests and even a few cigars. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and more than accommodating. There's also a $4 daily special. We are impressed to say the least. I bought a T-shirt to prove it. Enjoy folks. You won't be disappointed. If it's crowded get the Growler to go.

Great selection and friendly staff a lot of on tap options as well as a HUGE cab selection.

Love the concept. A great way to sample NC brews via beer flight. This is honestly 3.5 stars for me. Super friendly and clean. All the beers are clearly noted with descriptions and the store itself is spacious with select cigars and wine too. The pours are reasonably priced. I am just not a huge fan of their growler pricing. There needs to be more of a price break for taking a jug of tapped beer home. Growlers need to be consumed quick and once it is open, there is no turning back or you will have flat beer the next day. I don't see any incentive to pay $26-$30 for take out beer with that sort of commitment. Perhaps if they do this, they will find the turnover of tap lines to be way better and make it more of a take out spot too versus people coming in to hang for a pint or two. Not to pile on the negativity, but they also have all of their beers on warm shelves and that is brutal to see. Craft beer needs to be kept cold for preservation. It won't spoil, but there is a big drop in quality by not keeping things cold and their inventory is huge. There's gonna be some old stale beer sitting around for some time. Makes me sad to see such waste.

This place is great! Stop in here to have a wide selection of craft beer-I promise they will have something you've never had but will fall in love with. Also you can order food right next door, sit and have some beers and they will bring your food to you when it's ready. Brilliant partnership!
