Growlers To Go has a fantastic selection of beer on tap for your growler but also a great selection of four and six packs as well as an option to make your own six pack. We stopped in after lunch and we're the only ones in the store for quite some time. While the taps are primarily NC, VA, and MD beer you do have a nice selection of beer from other breweries to chose if you wish. They have Founders KBS for one which can be challenging to find in my home town. While there is no bar to "belly up to" there are stools to sit on near the door. The 5 oz / four beer flight for $10 was a good value and allowed us to sample several beers each.

So while I love craft beer and breweries, when I'm at the beach craft beer is not a top priority--I'm going to have a few drinks on the beach of course but the order of business for said beer is (a) cheap; (b) not too dehydrating; and (3) crisp/refreshing. My favorite crafts are usually either hoppy IPAs or creamy stouts (with the occasional sour or scotch ale thrown in for variety). But on the beach? Give me a sixer of light domestic as that's the only time such beer really, really hits the spot. Ramble over-- an evening on the beach is different as a cocktail or a craft beer is MORE than welcome. My brother really wanted to try a few local brews and is a sucker for a flight. He missed my trip to the local "Lost River Tavern/Brewery" (which rules) but we were staying near Growlers to Go and he had his mind made up to try it out all week. We each tried a flight of beers, each one we sampled was good. I stuck to mostly IPAs brewed in NC, and all were good. Pours for flights are like 4 oz (x5) for less than $10. Pints are CHEAP. Growlers, pints, cans, or bottles to go--very fairly priced. Super friendly service. A small but decent selection of premium cigars as well. There isn't any outdoor seating and indoor seating is sparse, though there is a bar you can stand at. Worth a stop if you're a beer lover, but not a place to camp out and talk for very long.

Craft Brew Heaven. They offer over 42 taps, varying between selections of sours, pale ales, IPAs, stouts, and more- all local to the NC or VA area. Bonus! They had a completely different selection board than their sister store Growlers-to-Go Kitty Hawk, yay more beer to try!You can grab a glass to drink on site or buy one of their various plastic growlers to go (sized into pints, 32ozs, or 64oz). They also offer a vast selection of non-refrigerated beer packs-in addition to several refrigerated individual cans for purchase (Bonus! If you create a complete six-pack they offer a $1.50 discount on the pack).Staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable about beer. It was great to chat with them, as they made recommendations, while offering mini sample tastings. We ended up making two flights ($9 each for four 5oz beers). This was a delightful place to visit to explore the local craft beer scene! We ended returning the next night to grab full pint pours-meeting another really friendly staff member, enjoying a local brew together!

We visit Duck every year, just after the summer. This little shop struck my eye as we passed one of regular pizza places. They have an unassuming sign out front and we decided we would stop by on our way back from shopping. They are located in the Pizzazz pizza strip mall. On the day we visited, there was a live Jazz player putting on a nice show. His guitar could be heard throughout the strip mall and he was inside the shop. The proprietors were super friendly. They a wide selection of beers on tap, a nice variety of wine and a good selection of bottles and cans. We tried many samples. They had one of my favorite Port City beers as well as some Oregon and California brews. But we came to sample the local brews. Tasting is free and lots of education comes with those samples. You can bring your own growler or pick one up from them. They sell inexpensive plastic ones from 8oz to 64oz, ranging from $2 to $35 for the growlers. Drinking beer at the park or beach is legal, I'm told.... It was hard for us to decide but I did walk away with local "Lost Colony Kitty Hawk Blonde" beer and hubby picked up a 64 oz OConnor El Guapo beer from Norfolk, VA. Pizza night will definitely include these beers. We'll definitely be back to refill our growlers. TIP: They also deliver! They have large kegerators to rent and leave in your beach house.

New owner this year and a PHENOMENAL presentation of FORTY TWO (42!) taps, a full shelf of cans and coolers offering cold singles and six packs. It's the best growler place on the outer banks, let alone Duck. Stop in for samples, a draft or your growler. They even have these 32 ounce plastic tall growlers that are perfect for coolers or you bike bottle cage. It's right next door to a deli so your non-drinking friends can order a sandwich while you sample drafts. And your kids can get ice cream a couple shops down at Weezeys. Heck, they can even walk across the street to Duck Donuts while you work through the taps. If you like beer this is the place to be. 42. That's a lot of taps. You can do it.

Excellent service. Great bartender that was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She knew a lot about the beers and told us some information about the surrounding area, since this was our first trip to OBX. The local beers were excellent but I loved the Scotch Ale by The Lost Colony.Definitely worth stopping in for a drink while shopping in Duck!!!

Great selection of regional micro's on tap with cans to take along of the ones we liked best. Knowledgeable bartender who is happy to allow samples made it a nice spot for the two of us to try a few of the local beers we otherwise wouldn't have been able to.

First time here. Just in town on vacation. Probably the best little hidden gem I could find. If you like craft beer, skip the breweries this place has it all. ABC liquors has in NC has nothing on this place. Excellent service and extremely friendly staff. Over 40 different beers on tap. Everything organized by an OCD master (easy to understand and find exactly what you want.) Also a varity of cans to go, cigars, and wines.
