I have been there five times over the past six weeks. The staff is very friendly. The food is great! They have dinner specials each day for lunch and dinner. On Friday night they have steak and seafood. I recommend the seafood. They will grill the seafood, if you prefer. My favorite meal is the Sunday buffet, an unbelievable spread of great southern cooking, fruits, salads, vegetables, and many varieties of meats. And don't forget the dessert table. Oh my! My friends took me there about six weeks ago. We had been in the area for about a year. I told my friends that they had been holding out on us by not taking us to the Grapevine! I will be taking some family members there tomorrow for the Sunday buffet. Can't Wait! Barbara, keep up the great work! The buffet is served between 11:30 to around 2:00. If you're near Woodland, NC, try out the Grapevine.

If you are looking for good old fashioned home cooking, this is the place in Woodland. The Sunday Buffet is addictive, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and grave, pot roast with dark brown gravy, hamburger steak, baked beans, black-eyed peas, butter beans, chicken and dumplings, country ham, cucumber salad, dreamy pink marshmallow salad, jello salad, red ripe sliced tomatoes, chicken salad, Cole slaw, and a table full of just baked cakes and pies. Yes, there is Chess Pie. All for $20 for adults and less for children. Everyone is made to feel like family by Barbara the owner who knows everybody and everything about our fair village. A lifetime resident of Woodland she never felt the need to venture far from home. So many people here grew up together, went to school together, and have hearts full of love. There is a group of locals who occupy the "Knowledge Table" at 6AM during the week. I found them so helpful when we first moved here. The cook arrives at 6:30 and feeds the working folks while the retirees wait their turn. The biscuits are light as a feather. Bacon crisp and ham flavorful for eggs or an omelet. It's so nice places like this aren't replaced by a Mac-breakfast!

The Grapevine Café is a great place to eat. The food is always good, the service is wonderful, and the owner, Barbara Outland, is an amazing woman who makes everyone feel like family. The buffet on Sunday's is like no other in the area. They make the BEST fried chicken I've ever had! I highly recommend that you stop here when you're in the area.
