Had high expectations, so many recommend Grand Mart. Yay ! To be honest it was okay. Parking was ample, but tight . This place is popular ! Didn't find the Japanese beverages I was looking for. Staff was okay. Maybe coming during the week is better. Really good produce , fruit looked amazing! I think it's worth another trip. They have a really good variety of all different foods. I liked seeing Jessy's bread there and coco loco . Cool!

Did you guys know that Grand Mart sells 50lbs bags of rice? Rice is life and I need a 50lb bag for the crib. All jokes aside, Grand Mart is an older international market in the 757. In my opinion they do have more varies than the other locations. One thing that surprised was that they serve food. So I had to give it a try, I got the Tteokbboki, beef bulgogi and the jap chae. I enjoyed them all 5/5. They all came with rice on the side but I forgot to take a photo. You get a lot of food for the price I don't remember the actual price but they were around $13 a plate for the jap chae and tteokbboki and $15 for the bulgogi.

I'm going to have to update my previous rating of the store. The Korean Pears I purchased were excellent, the best I've had in Virginia Beach. So I will be going back..... but only for Korean Pears.

You would love this place if you really like hard to find Asian items. My favorite things to get here are their large fresh shrimp, they were selling for $6.99 a pound; a pack of sliced boiled pork hock packed with fresh jalapeño slices and black bean sauce dip;packs of Filipino sweet pork longanisa, tocino and skinless longanisa; and pack of Bibigo Korean corn dogs! There are times that I would get fresh jackfruit, bean sprouts, bokchoy and cassava! Fruits and Vegetables are always fresh, bountiful and reasonably priced. There are long lines but the cashiers and baggers are so quick, you don't dread the lines.

Grand Mart has dethroned all other contenders as my go-to Asian grocery paradise in Virginia. Forget the stale fish-market vibe - this place is a bustling hub of fresh seafood, exotic ingredients, and culinary adventures waiting to be unleashed.Let's start with the seafood: Imagine glistening tuna, plump shrimp, and vibrant fish swimming in a sea of ice, not a whiff of fishy odor in sight. They don't just keep things fresh, they make it an eye-catching spectacle. Most definitely my favorite part of Grand Mart is that they understand the struggle of finding those elusive Chinese herbal soup ingredients. Here, shelves brim with everything from goji berries to dried scallops, ready to transform your broth into a healing masterpiece. But wait, there's more! Tucked away next to the tempting aroma of fresh fried chicken (yes, they have a Korean food court inside the market!), you'll find a treasure trove of freshly prepared Korean side dishes. These aren't your store-bought, plastic-tub abominations - we're talking vibrant kimchi, crunchy pickled radish, and savory japchae, ready to take your Korean feast to the next level.Speaking of feasts, Grand Mart is your one-stop shop for culinary world domination. Whether you're craving the comfort of Japanese tonkatsu or the fiery spice of Thai curry, every Asian cuisine imaginable can be brought to life within these aisles. I even stumbled upon fruits and vegetables I'd never heard of before - each aisle a journey into the unknown, bursting with new possibilities.Okay, I'll admit the aisles can be a tad messy. Things get cluttered in a wonderland like this, but it's a testament to the sheer abundance of goods piled high. You'll find everything from pantry staples to frozen dumplings, sauces galore to exotic snacks, all stacked like culinary Tetris blocks waiting to be discovered. This isn't just a grocery store, it's a playground for foodies and a global pantry for the adventurous. Grand Mart International Market is my new culinary haven, and I guarantee you'll find yours nestled among the aisles brimming with flavor. Bonus tip: Don't miss the in-market Korean food court for a post-shopping feast, or grab some fresh fried chicken to go - you won't regret it!Grand Mart International Market earns a resounding 5 stars (and all the heart eyes) for its mind-blowing selection, fresh seafood, and delightful surprises. I'll be back, week after week, to uncover the next culinary treasure in this Asian grocery wonderland!

This is probably the OG Korean grocery store in the area, if I am not mistaken. On our first tour here, back in the early 2010s, this was my go-to spot for Korean grocery items and fresh produce. We also used to live in Virginia Beach back then, so it was closer to us at the time.Unfortunately, I don't go to Grand Mart as much anymore, since we've moved back. Not because I don't like them anymore, it's more because there are various other "International" store and marts to choose from. I mean, geez, even Kroger has more Korean products, so it's even more convenient to find items. Having said that, here are some of my fave things about Grand Mart and some things to note:- lot more traffic at this store, so I get more of a choatic shopping experience here. Also, because of high traffic, more likelihood of items turning over faster. However, still keep an eye out when picking products and produce. They do a great job at adding a wide selection of stuff, but random, ingredients/produce that don't sell fast, tend to be either close to expiry or just bruised or even spoiled.- large seafood section with cleaning services (score!)- great selection of cuts of meat - great selection of Latin products as well- huge housewares section. You can find Korean kitchen items, this always brings back memories for me here. Seeing all those big buckets they use for kimchi making, random tools, shower towels LOL, earthenware bowls, BBQ sets, hot pot etc.- My most favorite thing of all is the Eating Corner, their food court. It's actually a pretty decent place to eat some Korean food. They have also added their "Mochi & Mochi" brand that the launched a while back at their Newport News location. Only boba for now, no mochi donuts yet. I've also noticed that they have added "Hencredibles" which I thought was random, but they serve Hot Nashville chicken sandwiches. Back in the day, their cook made one of the best jjamppongs (Korean seafood noodle soup), so I used to go there all the time to take it to go. In summary, a bit more chaotic shopping experience, lots of choices and variety of goods, housewares and don't sleep on the food court!Enjoy, Friends and never stop exploring!

I always find just what I need and want or didn't know I needed HERE. My Jamaican spices, Hispanic spices, Indian spices and Asian spices rt here. Fruits vegetables fish sometime. I don't buy their meats anymore, I've gotten burnt by opening the pack and it's already nasty smelly slimy. Waste of money. All in all. I like shopping here when I have time. Sometimes the aisles are cluttered and you have to move around but I find what I need at s good price.

It's busy and bustling there with tons of employees stocking the store at the same time. At times the aisles felt tight because of all the products available, but that is definitely not a bad thing. With headphones for all the stimulation, I found the starches I was looking for (tarro, ñame, yuca) both solid and already grated in the frozen food section. I also found non/goya fresh sofrito right next to the grated yucca and premade Kikuete Alcapurrias (I'll try it someday). The best part about my visit today was carefully strolling the seafood ice boxes when I found conch meat both in bulk and sold individually per lb. Carrucho here we come!!!Be mindful the aisles can be packed and the seafood section was so busy the cart needed to be parked in order to browse. Totally worth it & will be returning!

Grand Mart offers a variety of fresh fruits, veggies, seafood and meats and more. Today I was particularly impressed with the bulk sizes of items that you won't find in a traditional grocery store. For example, a 16oz (1lb) bottle of old bay seasoning for $14.99. This is typically only found on Amazon. I got steamed blue crabs for $3.99/lb.
