Granby Theater

Ive been to the Granby Theatre 2x now. Once for a candlelight concert which I loved and more recently for a murder mystery dinner. Given that this is an event space, each production might be a little different in terms of food, organization etc. Basing this off the venue alone, the theatre is beautiful. Seats could be more comfortable especially in the balcony, but I do like how open the venue is. Parking can be a little tricky depending on time of day but there are garages nearby. Will definitely be back for another event!

I'm torn with this one. I'm basing my review off the venue as a whole and trying not to cloud my reason and experience for why I was at the Granby Theater. When I was there it was just blah. Tacky in a way. My seating was so uncomfortable. I've seen photos of the theater from last events both large and small and this just did not hit the mark anywhere. I'll go back one more time, but for such a classic location I expect more. It was clean, but not impressively clean. Are my expectations to high? The food at the event was not horrible at all. It fit the hill and worth the money paid. Not sure if that was them or someone else. Other seating areas looked cramped and hard to pass through. We are all adults at this event. I personally also not like feeling cramped like sardines in a can. Event: Medium reading before Halloween 2024

Beautiful old theater right in the heart of Granby! I can't believe in almost 20 years of living here I've never been.... Last week for date night we attended a Candlelight Concert of the Nutcracker and old Christmas carols. It was beautifully decorated and all aglow with thousands of candles. I liked the side bar area - the old-world feel (think opera house 1890s) and the various opportunity for set-up and party hosting as well as the stage for the performers. Parking is super easy nearby in one of the numerous downtown garages. No complaints from me! Charming.

Went to the adults only escape room dinner challenge. Tickets were purchased via eventbrite, included participation in the challenge, 3 drink tickets, and a dinner buffet. The decor inside the theater was actually nice. I liked the elegant yet dark and mysterious vibe it gave. We were paired randomly in a group of other people to do the challenges with. Regarding food and drinks, you technically only receive two drinks with your ticket purchase rather than the mentioned three since one drink was a challenge itself, a Bloody Mary, (0/10) none of us in the group drank it because it wasn't good. You did have the option to purchase more drinks throughout the night at the bar though. I had a wine and a vodka cranberry (7/10). The buffet was just ok, food lacked seasoning and wasn't very warm. I put a little of everything on my plate to try but could only take a few bites before they announced that the challenges would begin soon. Overall 4/10 on the food. There was also fruit and cheeses as well as cheesecake towards the end of the night. I suggest eating beforehand or to arrive at the event early if u want more time to eat. I did really enjoy the challenges and meeting new people in my team. My team was the only group to complete all of the activities correctly so we won the event, our prizes were that we each could choose a bottle of wine to take home. We chose the rosé and the merlot. My overall rate of experience : 5/10

I went to the Candlelight concert at Granby Theater. It was a beautiful venue and I enjoyed everything! The staff were very nice and helpful. They answered all my questions. I enjoyed a drink at the bar, they were efficient. The seating was easy due to staff being very attentive and hospitable. The Vivaldi quartet concert was amazing! I loved every second of the experience! Best time ever! Parking was easy, I parked across a stadium. I also enjoyed eating at the restaurant next door, that was so convenient! This place is awesome!

This is a great venue! I have been here a few times. It's located in the heart of the nightlife of Granby Street. I been here for a musical, dance event and this time was for a comedy show. Main comedian was Mark Viera.I went with a friend and had side tables with cocktail service and it was pretty full and a good crowd of people.We ordered a bottle of wine to our table and the bartender was super friendly. The show was great and funny, funny guy!The bathrooms are up a set of stairs in the theater. Something I fun to discover. When walking in you have mirrors all over. YAY!! fun!! I sometimes have an attendant, but I didn't see one this night.The place is pretty big.. There are at least three separate bars and plenty of seating.if you get a chance to visit, check it out.There is parking available on the street and there are a few parking garages nearby.Don't miss out!!!

Went for the Harry Potter event last night and it was terrible compared to how it was last year. The food was dry, the initial movie being played was from Hulu and had the USA logo on the bottom, and for a buffet the salad, bread, and fruit that most went towards because of the dry chicken and mashed potatoes was gone. As for dessert, if you were lucky enough to get a slice of the first pie they had good.. but that was it after that. The rest was a plate of cookies. As for the ambiance, again last years was far superior and the service by the actors this year was a clear sign of it. Disappointed is an understatement.

Worst experience ever!!!! Don't waste your money. The guy with the black hat is horrible. Sat us down and we went to get food. We had our programs open to save our seats. Someone took our seats and he did not have them move even though we were sat there first. Worst experience!!!!!!This was my birthday gift. Never go there!! Dave your money. I had to put 1 star or it would not continue.

10s 10s 10s Across The Board!!! Sassy Saturday Drag Brunch was honestly the most fun I've had at a drag show yet. From the atmosphere to the amazing performances from each and every queen involved! We need more of this!
