My wife and I was looking for a quick broiled crab cake. The hotel staff recommended this seafood market/restaurant. We ordered broiled crab cake, but was told the broiler was malfunctioning. ...so we ordered lightly fried crab cakes and was surprisingly pleased. They weren't all lump cakes, but they were so fresh tasting. We liked it so much, we went back the following day to try broiled cakes. This time they just gave us fried cakes, with no explanation. We didn't make a fuss, they were only $9 and were good!

Big disappointment. I give the 2 stars only because the seafood is fresh so if you want to buy good fresh seafood and cook it at home, this is the place. But, if you're like me, and you're looking for a casual place to get some good seafood and sides for lunch or dinner- do not come here. I paid $15.99 for a flounder and shrimp dinner. 4 shrimp that were burnt and 2 tiny pieces of flounder that were cooked well, but very small. I ordered cole slaw and french fries. They serve frozen crinkle french fries and the cole slaw tasted like it was from a fast food restaurant like KFC or Long John Silvers. My husband also ordered a platter. The potato salad and macaroni and cheese were ok, but not great. The hushpuppies were burnt and lacked flavor. I will not return and I don't recommend this place unless you're buying fresh seafood to cook at home. This place really could have a good thing going, but they really need to make some improvements. We left hungry and disappointed and wasted $35.

A beautiful Christmas gift to customers was offered today! Great samples from crab balls to bacon wrapped shrimp & scallops! If you crave authentic seafood in a causal setting, this is the place. Shop here year round. You will be very glad you did! Restaurant or retail you can't beat the price or quality! Love this place!

I would have to say this was the worst experience purchasing fresh fish. I called and asked if they had whole red snapper and they said yes. I get there and they only had filets. I asked to get the black bass. I get 2 for almost $23. I asked for heads off and clean. Once I got it home it had not been scaled and majority of the body was butchered and was barely any fish left. Completely disappointed and a waste of money.

One of only two crab packers left in Hampton Roads, Graham and Rollins sells mostly wholesale, but has, over the years, also developed a thriving manufacturing business in producing many added-value crab-based products, including very good crab cakes and crab cake mix (their cakes have been sold on QVC for many years). And they've also had a retail market and small restaurant on Armistead Ave in Hampton for maybe 20 years (Hampton Seafood Market and Restaurant), which is one of the few still left on the Peninsula. Overall, a very fine group of people, trying to continue to provide fresh seafood and make a living, in what seems to be an increasingly more difficult market every year.

Best seafood in town service is wonderful. I ordered the fish. It was done perfect. I had fish clean. That was really good. The flounder was wonderful and the crab meat is great

Sorriest seafood around, paid $20 for 4 scallops and a baby croaker. Greasy and sides a straight trash. Will never visit again.
