Gourmet Gang

Delicious! The catering at a work related event was from Gourmet Gang, and it was wonderful how well they did at accommodating the various dietary restrictions. I would happily order from them for my work events in the future.

After working from home for nearly a year, I had missed my Gourmet Gang lunch fix down the street from the office. This was my first time ordering from the Bonney Rd. location. I placed my usual order, which is always easy to do online. I'm not too familiar with the office buildings off Bonney Road, and was only able to find it with the help of Google Maps. It's located in the Fulton office building, but there is no GG signage. When you walk in, it's not visible either. I only knew I was in the right building because Gourmet Gang was listed in the office directory. I looked like an idiot for a couple minutes and found it around the corner down the hall. It's very small compared to the downtown Norfolk office and I may be mistaken, but there is no dining section. I actually didn't get to look around much, because my online order was already sitting on the front table near the entrance. I was in and out quickly so there was no interaction with anyone there. Other than the confusing location, everything else was fine. My order was on time, accurate and I got finally got my Gourmet Gang fix.

I appreciate my company ordering us free food but I was fairly disappointed that one of my teammates did not get his order. We both had the cordon bleu sandwiches and there was only one for us. Food wise , I was also disappointed. The cordon bleu barely had any cheese. I also ordered a lemon bar, and although the lemon taste was delicious, the dough smells like Play dough. You know when you can taste something when you smell it? I feel like I ate a lemony play dough. I'd be very hesitant in getting something from here.

Well, COVID changes everything. Ordered catering for an office party. The order on line process was frustrating and when I called and left a message, no one called back. After 3 calls in the post lunch period, someone picked up. She was nice, but the overall customer service related to ordering was poor. I was happy with the pick-up and again the staff at my pick up location was friendly and helpful, but the system and communication was not what I would expect. (I worked in the restaurant business for 16 years.) The food was ok, not great, not terrible. I asked for one of the sandwiches on our platter to be prepared without cheese to accommodate a lactose intolerant employee, which was done. I asked for the sandwiches to be cut smaller, which was not done and I had to cut them myself. Not a disaster, but it caused our event to start 10 minutes late. I also asked for mustard or Mayo, where possible, to be served on the side. This was not done. Because of this, several guests opted out. The taco boxes were user friendly and a good value, but the meats (we had all 4, 2 per order) were not stellar. The Mahi had great flavor, but was dry. The pork was also dry and not particularly flavorful. The chicken and beef were moist but the seasoning was lackluster. 6 out of 10 stars for food quality. Is Gourmet Gang riding on it's previous deserved reputation? Are the staff getting the training and support they need to do their job? Should the on line ordering system for office catering be revamped? I will let you decide, because I will be looking at other options for my office events in the future.

I really like Gourmet Gangs salads and sandwiches. I usually get the ceaser salad with chicken, corn and bean salsa, and the roast beef and bacon sub with basil mayo... The salad was a good size portion. I can usually eat off 1 salad 2 times. Which i think is fantastic. The ingredients seem fresh and i like that the ceaser salad comes with Mediterranean pasta. Its Mmmm mmm good. Oh and don't let me forget the homeade croutons. I could eat a bag by itself. They're so flavorful. The roast beef sandwich is good also. The basil mayo makes it so much better. That mayo is something special... Lol..The staff is nice and the restaurant is clean. I'd definitely return. The prices are reasonable and you get your moneys worth... The only thing to keep in mind is they close at 3.. Thats my only complaint. Otherwise i really dig this place..

Killer fresh salads. I come here for lunch often. I usually only order the salads and they are great every time! Fast, friendly service, fresh ingredients and a nice little area to eat in if you choose.

I just ordered a work lunch from this location, and I can say, the RBC sub is amazing (Add caramelized onions). I love the brand of chips they offer, and the delivery person was quite pleasant.Only giving 4 stars because of the delivery time, BUT that could be because of a busy day or hitting all of the red lights on the way over. Who knows, but the food is incredible.DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

First time trying this place. Location was kind of confusing. Would never know I was there if it wasn't for the curbside signs on parking lot. The ham sandwiches were excellent, yes we got both. The tuna sub was just okay. Nothing to write home about, it was just meh. But plenty of other options on the menu to try.

I work at the hospital and our department will often order here because they are nearby and can deliver to us. They have a good selection and the pricing is fair. The salads are good, but that's really it. They aren't spectacular and I can think of plenty of other places I'd prefer to get salad and sandwiches from. The chicken I've eaten from here is close to bland. Today, I had the Tuscan tofu salad; it should have had more tofu, the portion was small. There was a plethora of sweet components like dried fruits and candied walnuts. It was interesting for sure, but I don't think I'd have it again, as I've felt for everything I've had there. There were also two instances that they made some orders wrong. This restaurant isn't so bad, but I wouldn't particularly suggest it.

So I work at a business near by and I order gourmet gang quite frequently for lunch. I use to love their salad. Yesterday when I ordered the salad came an our late so I was like oki will eat for supper and it them in the fridge. I hot 2 and gave 1 to my daughter. When I got home the lettuce was so bad. It was slimmey and brown I tried to pick it out but it was just so much of it both my daughter and I had to throw away the salad. I called them today and they just said thanks for letting us know. No compensation or asking us if we wanted a gift card to there or anything. Mind you I never have made a bad post or talked bad about a restaurant. It was the way that they handled it. The salad are expensive and I think they should have handled the situation betterI will never order from them again
