Gourmet Burger Bistro

So I met my mentor here for the first time on Friday at Noon for lunch. I walked in and saw a large gathering enjoying their food and chatting lively amongst themselves. I waited for my mentor to arrive and when she did she told me to order first so I proceeded to the register and the owner personally aided me and answered any questions I had. Customer Service top notch okay.It's a casual setting but also can be utilized for professional lunch outings of maybe 15 ppl. The food was Delicious okay. I love wings but it was recommended since I like sweet and spicy to try the "Everything wings!!" Yummy. Now they only gave me 4 wings but they were meaty and the sauce truly was finger licking good, but the fat kid in me wanted at minimum 2 additional wings ijs. Fries were tasty as well but I obviously missed that they had sweet potatoe fries so I'll have to come back again and bring my husband. I also splurged and got a cheeseburger. It was seasoned down you hear me not too much but just flavorfully satisfying. I finished off my meal with the yum yum juice I believe that's what it's called "Fruit punch," flavor. My whole meal was a missile and yeah I'll be back. I will say it's a bit pricy but great service and good and I can see why people love it here. Mentor was nice enough to alow me to snap a pic of her jasmine bowl and honestly I will be ordering that next time as it looked great and quantity for the meal was superb. I'm new to Suffolk but I can see myself becoming a regular here.

We came to the Gourmet Burger Bistro one Friday afternoon for lunch. We had heard good things about the new addition to the downtown Suffolk food scene. My first impression was the ambiance. The physical space is typical of downtown Suffolk restaurants. It was mostly clean, by not posh in any way. It is a clean casual restaurant in an old building. My second impression was the price. I ordered a cheesesteak, my wife ordered three wings, my son ordered a cheeseburger. We each had fries. The bill came to $45 not including the tip. This seemed a bit high to me. The food came out piping hot. On the whole it was good, but it was seasoned a bit heavily (e.g. too much garlic on the burger, too much salting the fries, too much pepper on the cheesesteak). They do offer drinks made in house. But we did not get any. These go for about $4.25 each. We only purchased one soda and one water. The service was good as well. The waitress was friendly and accommodating. The cook checked on us multiple times throughout the meal. Overall it was a nice experience. We would come again though the cost and menu variety are limiting factors.

Gourmet Burger Bistro has recently opened a new location in Downtown Suffolk! Their Suffolk location exudes that quintessential old town Suffolk vibe with casual natural décor. They are bringing all the hometown favorites; delicious gourmet burgers, sticky wings, fried rice dishes, desserts, and their famous yum yum drink!I ordered the wings (Old Bay, Everything Wings, and Sticky Wings), along with onion rings and the Empire Burger.The onion rings were perfectly battered, and the sauce had just the right amount of heat. The wings were seasoned, battered, and sauced to perfection. The Everything Wings offered a delightful balance of sweet, tangy, and a hint of heat.The star of the show was the Empire Gourmet Burger: a hand-pressed patty topped with American cheese, sautéed onions and peppers, lettuce, tomato, and Filet Mignon! Yes, Filet Mignon on a burger! It truly combined the best of both worlds!Amazing customer service! Don't miss out on trying them! Check them out today!

BOOM, straight fire !! We happened to pass by Gourmet Bistro burger on the way to another restaurant for lunch with out of town friends. Looking foe parking we passed the other restaurant and it found it was actually closed on a 4:30 Saturday afternoon. GBB was a unanimous choice. We entered the spotless restaurant welcomed with the aroma of fried, something and welcomed by a friendly young lady. Smiling, she welcomed us and invited us to the paper menu, as we found a clean tidy table with a nice view of the quiet street. The menu had a variety of selections aside from a Gourmet Burger. My party of 4 each of us chose something different. I chose a crab cake sandwich (no fillers) with cheese fries. Hubby catfish with fries, friend, Major burger, and her hubby chose catfish with fried rice and vegetables. ALL of our meals were served piping hot to the point we needed to let them sit as we enjoyed everything wings. Everything was delicious. I'd just be happy with a small cup of everything wings sauce. Our gistest passed by the table 2 other times to see if we needed anything and if we were enjoying the meals. Everyone absolutely enjoyed our well cooked and flavored meal

Ate here recently for the first time. The food was excellent. I had the fried rice with chicken and shrimp, while my wife had a burger. Very tasty. The service was very good too. You order at a counter, pay, and they bring the food to you. Seems to be the norm for many restaurants post-COVID. The atmosphere could use some help. It was VERY loud and this was due to the music (some R&B stuff) being too loud, causing all the patrons to talk very loudly to be heard. The owners seemed oblivious to this. Secondly, the kitchen is open to the restaurant and the ventilation is undersized. Smoke and cooking smells were very prevalent throughout the restaurant. I'm still giving this 4 stars, but it's on the verge of 3 simply due to the fact that the atmosphere is not what we like.

I had the Crab Cake burger with fries. My wife gad the Catfish & shrimp & grits. Food was decent, not worth the $60 we paid for lol. The Yum Yum drinks were $4 a piece we got 2. Sweet tea was too sweet tho. Fries were the best part of the entire meal ironically. Service is 50/50. You walk in, order, and pay before you sit down, they bring your food out to you when its ready. Ambiance was nice, clean, and they played some old school R&B! Overall its a nice place, food is ok, ambience is cool. Just not worth the money IMO

Went in for Sunday brunch and had an excellent experience. The customer service was top tier, and food was amazing. We were even greeted by the chef. I had the Waffle big breakfast with fried salmon, and hubby had Shrimp and grits. Everything was wonderful. The piece of salmon was big enough for 3 people! Can't wait to go back and try some of their dinner.

Food was good drink was perfect service was good .I love the atmosphere there and the music was really relaxing and it was not too loud or overwhelming. I will be back soon.

Pretty good burger joint. Ambiance is modern loft type so it has a good vibe. Staffs were nice and service was good; not quite sure if burger joint needs 5 stars services. This is family own restaurants so they serve with a great hospitality. Burger is best around downtown Suffolk. Would come back and try more things on their menu. Oh, just get regular fries and skip the sweet potato fries unless you like sugar and cinnamon on your fries.
