Sooooo cute! And right in my backyard! Just off Seaboard road in the field beside Wave Church. Last year they planted later due to COViD. But this year they're open in late June. Peak blooms are in the next 4-5 days. Follow them on Instagram for up to date info on blooms and hours. Super friendly staff. $25 gets your group in and you can get 10 sunflowers. They'll give you a bucket but you can bring your own shears (or they have some to borrow) and they'll wrap them for you too in cool napkins for the drive home. Suggest if you have a long drive you bring some water for them. The sunflowers are beautiful and plentiful and there weren't that many bugs. Also - this is a large field of sunflowers so you can really spread out. It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. We roamed for half an hour before we saw other people. They have a small boutique selling themed items all featuring their bee or sunflowers. Adult shirts are $25. The bee pins are $10. A sunflower coloring book with colored pencils is $13 or $10 for just the book. Etc etc. Love love love!!!!

Is a "pop up farm" a thing? Yelp has a category for "attraction farm"- I guess that fits! Goldpetal is a beautiful maze of sunflowers. Not the "you'll get lost" kind of maze, more like a "you'll want to get lost" kind of maze. They opened on August 27th and reached max bloom on September 2nd. Their Facebook page indicates that you may only have another few days to catch this season's blooms. We went on a Thursday evening around 5:30 and only had a short line to get inside. The line was much longer when we were leaving around 7pm. It's $20 for 10 stems. That includes entry for up to 5 people. You can get an extra 10 stems for $10 and I think military gets an extra 5 just for showing their ID. You can't just go for the pictures, you've gotta pay. Dogs can come too- just make sure they are on a leash and you may want to bring water for them if you're planning a longer trip. They give you tips and the rules before you enter and supply you with a metal vase and cutters. I'd suggest bringing a basket instead of using their bucket though. After that the field is all yours. They have several different types of sunflowers. We got a little carried away and now I don't know what to do with all our flowers, not a bad problem to have."By the time you're reading this it's probably too late." Cryptic, but if you're reading this after Labor Day weekend your best bet is to bookmark this for in your Summer 2021 collection and sign up for their mailing list on their website so you don't miss out next year!

Such a fun place to visit! The flowers are gorgeous and there's so many to choose from. The sunflowers come in a beautiful pale yellow, bright gold, and brilliant red. It's 25$ for 10 stems, or 13 with military ID. You can even pick stems with multiple flowers! Plenty of parking. The fields are huge so you aren't around many others while walking through. Be aware there are lots of friendly bumble bees there in the fields.

If you are looking for something fun to do tomorrow, the sunflower garden is the place to be! The sunflowers have reached their maximum bloom so tomorrow is there last day being open. They are open until late evening, check their Facebook page for exact times. We loved seeing everyone's smiling faces enjoying all the beauty all around! There is a large parking lot that was almost at capacity this evening when we went, parking is free. There was a long line but it went by fast, no more then 15 minutes in line. There are two porta-pottys on site with hand sanitizer available. You must pay before you enter the giant maze of sunflowers. Cost is $20 for five people in your group, that gets you ten stemmed sunflowers, you get an extra three stems for free if you provide your military ID. Children 2 & under are free. They provide a bucket and sheers so you can trim your own sunflowers. We had so much fun walking through the tall rows of sunflowers searching for the perfect yellow and red sunflowers! Lots of friendly bees everywhere so look before you sniff or take selfies with these beautiful flowers. This place is toddler friendly, dog friendly (for well behaved dogs only) & picture perfect friendly. We will definitely be back next season!

What a cute spot! There is plenty of parking! The pricing was very reasonable. It was based off of the amount of stems, not the amount of flowers. So you could have a stem that had 6 flowers in it but, only charged for the stem. The staff was polite and helpful. They were also very knowledgeable with all things sunflowers. This was a covid friendly activity. You wear a mask and try to give people their distance. My flowers lasted just shy of 2 weeks after we got home we will be back next year!

I've heard about this tucked away sunflower field in Virginia Beach all season! I had to go check it out. This sunflower field is in front of a church and the sunflowers are so bright and beautiful you can't miss your turn! For $20, you can pick 10 stems, but the stems can have multiple flowers attached. I picked about 30-40 sunflowers! All I have to say about this place is WOW. It is such a beautiful place to wonder- rows and rows of sunflowers on acres of land, lots of butterflies and bees buzzing around, different varieties of sunflowers, and just gold all around. The setting is perfect for photography, or if you want to just wander around the fields for the fun of it!
