Used to have one in Williamsburg, Virgina, so if you see one that is open, you have to try it. I was on the Walgreens side of the restaurant that said drive thru and didn't look like anywhere to go into the restaurant from that angle, but also, I'm deeply dumb sometimes . So, went thru the drive thru and ordered a family 25 package with sides. The drive through girl was not happy to see me, was irritated AF with me, and made it well known. What fun! Spent $50 getting a family order and 4 large sides and an ice tea. Now, I realize that's a big order but legit there was no one there, no one in the drive thru and had no business while I was over at the Walgreen's parking lot, meeting a friend. I'm also, super ok with just about anything, so please tell me to come in, if that was the case for the attitude. There were no customers though, sooo wtf. She opened the window and handed me my tea and I said thank you and thank you for putting up with me (for the whole 2 mins it took me to find the family packs). She closed the window and didn't even look at me and again was really pissed AF. So much fun. I sat only for about 5 mins and she brought the food in two bags that were packed well. Opened the window, shoved the bags at me, I said thank you... Again. She shut the window and answered the drive thru that had just pulled up...I guess we're done here? Never looked at me, never said a damn word.. just irritated energy. I put up with a lot of crap in life (4 kids is crap attitudes) and I've worked in the public all of it and my job is to do what I'm trained to do, and make it a nice place for others to visit. Nope to that with this place. Now the food. Everything was as it should be in such a place and pretty much tasted like it did 30 years ago in the burg. Chicken was well fried and not dry but the collards are to die for. Probably would put up with the keeper of the window for those collards but I do have a tiny bit of self respect left, so no. Only thing worse than the attitude was the mac n cheese. I didn't understand it, at all. It was extremely soupy and the noodles were big and soft and swimming in that stuff. The saucy cold watered soup was bland but also had some weird package flavor like the stuff you get at the dollar store and was bright, bright orange. Dude, give me Kraft blue box and I would have been perfectly happy... That's how picky I'm not, but with the whole bad attitude... had me paranoid that something was done to it. Just can't freaking be what they usually serve. So...Go for the chicken and get those collards but maybe go inside. There might be a nice person in there, ya never know.
