Fun course. We played this course many years ago and it was just as fun now as it was then. Some really good holes. Carts have GPS and there's a snack shop and bathrooms that you pass a few times.

Don't know why people haven't reviewed this course. The first thing I will say is that many holes have a similar look to them: the fairways are generous, then there are mounds on either side that will kick your ball back into play or give you a tough lie, just passed the mounds are tall trees and lots of trouble. That being said, the course is beautiful. Tees, fairways, and rough were fantastic. Bunkers were well maintained and were thoughtfully placed. The greens were very slow, but they were hosting a tournament on the Gold Course so I'm guessing they had ignored the Green for those couple of days. Practice area was solid. They have a good sized driving range and a big putting green. There seemed to be a separate chipping area but it's not easily accessible. Shop was small but had some good souvenirs. I also interacted with about six workers and only ran into two golfers, and this was on a Sunday afternoon. I was able to get around in 2.5 hours which was fantastic! I'll definitely come out here again. I also did the stay-and-play package a couple of years back which was well worth it.

I have to lead with I love the design of the golf course, but the conditions aren't up to the price they are charging this week. Things are green but the greens are rough in spots and don't roll very consistently. The fairway shots feel like hitting off of dirt as much as grass. This course really needs a couple weeks for the fairways, not sure how much for the greens. Still love to play it but no for the $150 they charge visitors. There are other courses in the area for half that which are playing better at the moment.

Nice course. Greens were not in the best of shape and the sand was wet and wasn't really good sad (must have rained the day before though). Some pretty holes. It looked tight but wasn't bad. Of our 3some, one rated it a 3 and two of us rated it a 3.5. Therefore I am giving it a 3 since I can't do 1/2 stars.

An exceptionally beautiful and fun course. This is a real hidden gem, and feels like a completely private course; plus, I love the club and restaurant....great food in a very private and picturesque setting. Highly recommended.

My husband and I was at this establishment recently and we were treated so disrespectful. I live in Williamsburg and I have to say this was the first time that I have blatantly experienced racism and bias. On severaldifferent aspects of the business. From the checking in process to the person reloading the balls on the green. Very disappointed and truly upset from our experience.

I had planned a golf trip to the Williamsburg area in the spring since the area looked to be a great spot to visit and play golf. The Golden Horseshoe golf Club came highly recommended to us by Golf Zoo. We planned to play golf at both the Green course and the Gold course. We played the Green course on Tuesday, March 26 and enjoyed ourselves. However, on Thursday, March 28, it was pouring rain and we were unable to play The Gold course that we had reserved and had paid in advance. There were no players on the course, nor any scheduled tee times other than our own. We went to the course and attempted to cancel and get our money refunded but were told that all they could do was to give us a rain check. Here is my complaint. We scheduled to play the Gold course months in advance. We paid good faith money for our tee time (Almost $600 between the three of us). Now, we were told that's too bad guys...come back and play another day. No consideration that the course was essentially closed...no one could play the course, but yet the pro shop could have cared less. No consideration that we had travelled hundreds of miles to play golf in Williamsburg. It was all about their bottom line. Needless to say, I now have a worthless raincheck. We do not intend to ever return after being treated like this.
