Golden City

We were out shopping in the area, and decided to eat Chinese Food is Delicious. They have mushrooms in their Chow Mei Fun, that makes it even more yummy. yum

The reviews on this business are ridiculous. To complain about a language barrier for a Chinese restaurant is just annoying! I've been going to Golden City since I moved to the area and they have been nothing but nice, hardworking people that make great Chinese food at an affordable price. Usually I call in my order and it is ready by the time I get there. Their dinner combos are the best: Main entree with pork fried rice and an egg roll for roughly $7. I'm obsessed with their boneless spare ribs cause the sauce the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Their portion sizes are great and they even come in a plastic container that I like to reuse for meal prepping! I'll always come back to support their business!

Golden City is my FAVORITE spot for Chinese food. Whenever I am in the area, I usually order two or more meals. YES, they taste great as leftovers!!! My favorites are Shrimp Egg Foo Yung, General Tso's Chicken, and the House Pancit. Yesterday, I tried the General Tso's Tofu and it was AMAZING!!!I highly recommend calling in your order in advance. They are fast, but they were really busy yesterday.

This Chinese Take Out has been our "go to" for quick order without driving out of the neighborhood. Located at the east end of the shopping center near the Food Lion. The prices and wait times are reasonable. We normally order House Lo Mein, Stir fried veggies in white sauce, Egg Foo Young, and chicken wings. As you can see, nothing exotic but the food is delicious. If you place a large order they give complimentary canned soda(s)

I have been coming here for years. Even drive this way from Norfolk. I love their wings and fried rice. The most authentic to NJ style Chinese take out. Warning!!! I have not tried anything else on their menu. but I do highly reccomend their wings.

Wow! These reviews before mine are brutal! I mean, yes, the restaurant isn't the cleanest in the world world, but honestly, the food wasn't that bad.I ordered the General Tso lunch special. It definitely wasn't the best I've tasted, but it definitely wasn't the worst. The food was prepared hot and was ready within the 10 minute time frame. There was no guy there that I saw. It was a female who passed as politeSo if I liked it, why only 3 stars? Because I have to admit that the restaurant did look dirty on the inside, and the food was passable. I've had them before and never had a problem, but even though the lady was polite, I think she wasn't too happy about having any orders. I had to be the only one messing with them, because she knew immediately that I was the person who ordered, and nobody was cooking up anything. I just hope this slight bump will give them a little more business. Just clean your daggum restaurant and they will come....hopefully!

Another great experience. The general tso chicken is fire. This might not seem like your typical fancy looking place but it's really good. The service is fast and correct. I can place my order and arrive 10 minutes later and it's ready.

The food here is outstanding. My friends and i agree this is the best location in the area. The sweet and sour chicken is my favorite. Clean environment. Employees are always pleasant when picking up orders. Highly recommend!

Hands down the worst chinese food I have ever had. the broccoli was so overcooked it was like mush, the lo mein was nothing but grease that tasted like charcoal, and the chicken? Almost not even edible. Disgusting, so bad my animals smelled it and backed away.
