Took a chance on this place and was pleasantly surprised. Now I don't know for sure but I do believe that it may have changed ownership since we were last there. First I went during lunch hour and got egg drop soup and chicken wings all tasted good,. Went back and got beef mushrooms for my son and mushu beef and vegetable mifun. All good tasted good. I was unsure of what to think of this place when I first ordered it, but needless to say it exceeded my expectations. It was overall pretty good. I got the General Tso chicken w/pork fried rice, and wonton soup, which came with an egg roll, soup crackers, and a fortune cookie. The egg roll was a little doughy, but overall it was a great meal. Chicken and rice was great in flavor, wonton soup was great.

Lady taking orders speaks little English. Ok it's a Chinese place but really? She was nice and brought me my order.The food was poor at best. The chicken fried rice had no egg in it? What?The spring rolls were decent.Overall? Meh.

To start with they had high marks on Uber Eats. I should have looked at Yelp to get the real deal. Only 2.5 stars here, and that is appropriate. Sweet and Sour chicken drenched in batter, literally NO CHICKEN. Their beef on a stick? A thin piece of chair leather marinated in who knows what. We just kept chewing and chewing and gave up. Spare rib tips are spare rib tips soup see my picture. So sweet it was spare rib tips candy soup. My goodness what a disappointment.

Ordered the egg drop soup and hibachi steak and shrimp with fried rice and everything was excellent! Portion sizes were great especially for the price and the flavor was great as well.

I have been in Virginia for 2 years from California and have not found any decent Chinese food. Golden China is awful! I went back through their menu and there isnt any mention that their fried crap sticks are fake crab. They need to put KRAB sticks. The "meat on a stick" was so over cooked and tough, disgusting. I was able to pick the level of heat for the Hot & Sour soup; I chose medium heat, it wasnt even mild heat and the broth of the soupd was had a slimy mouth feel. The Chow Mein was supposed to have vegetables but it only had onion and cabbage and four pieces of chicken (yes, I counted). None of the food I received had much of a flavor. The white rice however, was cooked well. I will NEVER eat their again. I wanted to add a picture of the fake KRAB and over cooked meat on a stick.

Great service and the sweet and sour chicken is excellent for me and my husband. The people who manage are very nice and the delivery is fast and good. Prices are very reasonable. Last time my husband got the small order and this time he ordered to large and he is picky and he even suggested ordering and we both really enjoyed our meal.

Do not eat here if you work at the shipyard! Whole order was wrong! no forks/spoons, napkins, sauce, drinks. Waste of my whole lunch break

My experience with Golden China was like being treated like royalty. My food was delivered with kingly customer service, and garden fresh food. The taste of my dish was as if God himself allowed them to borrow his wok to prepare the entrées. Golden China on Warwick deserves the diamond star.
