My boyfriend and I called GoKayak this past Monday (July 5) to join a 2 hour guided dolphin tour by First Landing State Park the next morning ($119 for 2 ppl). Bryan was very helpful in getting us set up (and also kept asking if we could handle 2 hours haha). The next morning we met up with the tour guide Will at 840am and signed the waiver before starting the tour at 9am. Will was very helpful in getting us situated and starting to paddle. My boyfriend's kayaked once but this was my first time and it wasn't bad! Will provided some ecosystem information but unfortunately we didn't see any dolphins (he said there were 6 or 7 who lived in the area). We finally saw three or four dolphin fins in the water once we reached the dock and unloaded at 11am, the end of the tour. Unfortunately most of the time was spent either paddling or trying to spot dolphins so not too much conversation was made during the tour but it was still interesting and fun for my first time. Hopefully if we get another chance to come down to VA, we can see the dolphins and enjoy another tour. Pro tip is to wear waterproof shorts because your butt and legs get wet. Also bring a towel in the car and make sure to put lots of sunscreen on before the tour. Our tour was July 6th 9am to 11am and it was hella nice til 10am when the sun greeted us veeeeery well. A hat would help!

Absolutely wonderful trip! Bryan was fantastic and very engaged with all of us, even though in hindsight, it was a decent sized group (10, I believe?). There was a mix of experience and even though I started with some nerves, he was super friendly and helpful, making all of that fade away in the first few minutes. He also provided a ton of information about the ecosystem and general area which was a lot of fun.We put in at First Landing State Park and look forward to Rudee Inlet next year. I would definitely recommend this to anyone of any experience level!

We set-up our very first kayak adventure with Brian. Practically last minute! Our family had a wonderful time. Brian was an awesome guide! We highly recommend it for everyone. We came in as beginners and finished our guided tour as repeat adventurers! We will go kayaking again! Thanks, Brian!

This adventure was an awesome time. We took our two boys out and it was our first time on kayaking. Brian was a great instructor and showed his true love for the area by telling us about the environment and the wildlife. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an adventure on the water.

Brian was an amazing tour guide. From the moment I called to book the appointment to the tour and back it was pleasant. I couldn't ask for anything more. Especially since I was traveling with my three young girls. They had a blast! It was the highlight of our trip. He was very knowledgeable of the area. We were able to see beautiful bald eagles, dolphins etc. I highly recommend him and already have to a few friends. Wishing you all the best Brian. Thank you for the amazing experience!

GoKayak! is an awesome way to get outside and see some of the local wildlife Virginia Beach has to offer. The guide, Bryan, knows his stuff, and is incredibly passionate about the outdoors!! He offers tours out of the Rudee Inlet and First Landing park, and throughout the whole experience, he will instruct, while still making sure his group is taking in the history and the unique animals, that live in our backyard. This is such a fun way to spend time with family and friends, on the water! HANDS DOWN, a summertime must-do!!! I will definitely be signing up for a tour, this summer.

What a great way to spend a morning! We were able to see lots of birds putting on a show of fishing and many dolphins. Brian was patient with his instruction and shared little tidbits of his knowledge along the way. And to top it all off he took pictures and videos for us allowing us to document our trip without having the extra baggage of cameras or phones to carry. Highly recommend! :-)
