I love this place more than pots n paints. The atmosphere is great, the staff is funny, the people who showed up got ladies night were hilarious. I went with a friend for a ladies night and it's BYOB and there are snacks. The ladies there went over the process of picking your piece you wanted to paint, where to get your paint, what brushes or techniques to use, and where to clean up your stuff. I painted a cute little fox and a seahorse. I was able to use a sponge on my seahorse to give a textured look to him. The ladies were always around to help give tips and feedback or help correct if you needed it. They were also very encouraging and didn't rush you. If you ran out of time, you could come at another time access finish later. Their quality of paint for pottery is better than pots n paints because you can layer to get rid of your paint strokes. I was able to pick up my pieces a few days later and they were perfect. I will definitely keep coming to them.

I love this place. It's so wide open and friendly. I can always find something fun to paint. They have pieces for various skill levels as well as glass and wood items. There's lots of paint colors and the staff is helpful getting those for you when you need and making recommendations on things. How much good can I say about this place?! It's clean, friendly, and affordable. Let my work speak for itself.

My niece wanted to try something different to do for her birthday and mentioned painting. I initially planned to go to one of the more popular painting studios in Virginia Beach but I saw Glazenfyre has "Family Night Fridays" with discounted pricing! It was a drive to get there, but I'm glad we came here instead! You come in and pick your piece of pottery that you want to paint, and they have a decent selection. It is a bit pricey for a piece you could probably get from the dollar store, lol but hey- you're there for the painting experience itself. From there, you choose your paints as you are assisted by their helpful and friendly staff. Take as long as you have to, if you don't finish before they close, you're welcome to come back. When we got there around 6:30, we were the only ones there. But by the time we were wrapping up, there was a good amount of people coming in to paint. After you're done painting, you leave your work of art and pick it up a week later to allow it to set and glaze. I'll admit, I thought for sure it'd end up a mess. But it actually came out pretty good. My niece's did too and she really enjoyed herself here. The staff definitely ensured that our first time here was a memorable one and this is being added to my list of "fun things to do" in the future.

My daughter had a good time with her friends here during her party. After going to 3 other businesses my daughter finally decided to have her birthday party here. The business was very accommodating to the date that we picked which fell on a Saturday. I would recommend that if you plan to have the party on a Saturday to at least reserve 3 weeks in advance just to make sure you get the day and hours you prefer.Upon having the party, the staff was very helpful in assisting us in setting up in the party room and they were very friendly throughout the party. I thought the party room was pretty spacious and there was lots of natural light that came through. You get 2 hours and you can get it extended 30 min or longer for an additional charge. During our party though we did happen to go over about 10 min or so but they didn't charge us extra which I thought was very nice of them. Also, there is a pretty healthy selection of pottery for your party goers to choose from. What I also liked about the business is that they let you bring in whatever food you would like. Some businesses will only let you bring in certain food items. Furthermore, they do provide table clothes and they do provide party supplies for additional fees. You can also opt to bring in your own party supplies. There were a few cons that I thought could be improved though. While they do have a color board for the party goers to choose from. This color board is in a different room and it took awhile for all the girls to make their choices. This time could have been better spent coloring their pottery by having the staff bring the color pallets to the party table and the girls choosing there instead. Also, the business prefers that the host pick up all the pottery and distributes the pottery among their guests. As all my daughters guests were from her class I thought it would have been easier for the parents to just come by and pick up their pottery on their own accord as they do at Pots n' Paints. It seemed like an inconvenience when I told the staff of my request but they obliged anyways. Lastly, they price was a bit high. But overall the party was a success and I would recommend this business for the pottery or painting party needs.

I took my friends here when I surprised them with my pregnancy announcement and I took my infant son here when we made my husband a Father's Day gift. This place is super fun and the staff is very child friendly! My son's handprint turned out WAY better than I 1) could have hoped and 2) ever could have done. Prices are decent. If you've ever been to a Color Me Mine - same kind of thing except I like color me mine, they mix the paint for you.

Glazenfyre is an pottery painting place that has gotten best in Chesapeake several years in a row. The people there are very nice and polite and the place is very clean. I had my sons birthday party there recently and everything went smoothly. They have a separate room for parties and different packages to choose from. You pay half up front and the rest after the party. My only suggestion is that they extend the party time by a half a hour. Rather then 1.5 hours, make it a solid 2. Most of the kids who have parties at pottery places are very young and easily distractible and they don't switch gears very well going from one thing to another. Other then that suggestion...I highly recommend them!

Very cute place. A great way to spend some quality time with friends or family. I took my 7 year old & she loved it. The staff are great with the kids, very patient! Only reason I did not give 5 stars is that it was a bit pricy. The studio fee is pretty low, but the prices on the various items you can purchase to paint were high.

We came to this business on my birthday to make Christmas ornaments with my sons for grandparent gifts. When I told an older worker the idea I had (putting handprints or footprints on a round ornament), she was extremely rude and said "There's no way that's going to work. Absolutely not." She didn't offer any help on what would work and had a very rude attitude. We decided not to stay due to the environment. 0/10 recommend taking your family there. Not a family friendly place at all.

We just had a Pottery Party for my 9yo's birthday and would highly recommend Glazenfyre for your next party. The room is perfect sized and has its own sink to wash those little hands from the activities. All of the staff were great. Our artist/assistant was super patient with the kids and explained the whole process. We look forward to picking up the final products and the kids will have a forever memory of our fun day at Glazenfyre.
