Great family room. Kitchenette with full size fridge, dishwasher, sink, stove top, and some dishes and pots and pans. Dining table, couch, tv, dvd player (ours was not hooked up), separate bed room and bathroom with sink outside door. Loved the locks on the doors, many hotels do not have locks on bathroom doors which we hate. Very quiet. Has a laundry room but I'm pretty sure it damaged one of my clothes. I had holes and grease stains on one set of pajamas that wasn't there before. Overall a positive stay.

If you are traveling TDY to Fort Eustis - congratulations you will more than likely be forced to stay at General Smalls. -Comparable to low to mid grade hotel-Rooms have small fridges microwave and stovetop BUT not all rooms equipped with cookware dishes or utensils-General condition is worn and dated-Beds have zero give and are extremely firm no padded comfort here+Free coffee+Self service snacks+Centrally locatedNormally Air Force Inns are better than other lodging - but in this case it's time to turn this place to IHG and up the game.

With all due respect to the Marine who wrote that this is a shit hole, we'll just have to agree to disagree. I too have stayed in hotel rooms across the globe, and this by far outshines a shitload of the shit holes I've stayed in.Maybe it's been refurbished since he stayed here? IDK, but I do know this is a nice place. A lot of people staying here are on military orders and think it should resemble the Taj Mahal, or something. Does it? Of course not! However, it's nice! It's a full suite with a separate lounging area than the bedroom area. A nice, comfy clean bed. Plenty of channels on both telis, plenty of clean fluffy towels and a mini kitchen. Seriously! It's set up as an extended stay type place, so how anyone could complain is beyond me. It's nice! I'd definitely stay here again. Cheers!

Congrats to ILPP. The rooms are average as compared to any chain hotel in the area, but the TV is too small to use as a monitor and the room furniture is not properly configured for it either. In terms of after hours productivity and dining options, stay off post if you can.

Serves its purpose but parking seems a lil far from building but safety first . Rooms were clean and prices reasonable

Forced to stay here on orders. Been here for months. Livable, has kitchenette. However, three things that make this place very difficult: 1. The "high speed" internet is laughable, can't stream, can't talk to family and cellphone reception is somehow magically blocked in the building.2. Laundry is hit or miss, if you don't get the one brand new washer and dryer then you will be forced to dry your clothes for 3-4 hours. 3. No points to be had, in 2023, you should at least get points for IHG or something, nothing here. Lastly, this place costs more than local hotels that are much nicer, seems almost like a racket, to force soldiers to stay here, zero benefit. Costs more and is definitely inferior. If your command lets you stay somewhere else, do it.
