Such a fun place! I went here for my birthday and I've always passed it but never knew the name of it! We couldn't get into another bar close by so we came here and honestly, I had more fun at Garden Grove than I think I would've had at the other place. The cider flights were delicious and there was even a live band. it was super loud and crowded. so my friend and I had to yell at each other but the cider was delicious!

I always enjoy a visit to GG. It's a quaint place tucked on Cary st. in Carytown. They have a good, unique mix of beer, honey wine, and ciders they make in house. I really like the honey wines and ciders. Staff is very friendly. This is a good place to just hang with friends and pick up one of their board games. They also host trivia some nights.

Such a cute little brewery. I ordered the "Mozu"- it was as a very light and refreshing drink. I'm not a big beer girlie but it's yummy! I got to meet Ryan the owner and he was the nicest guy. A great local brewery !

On a random Sunday evening, my boyfriend and I wanted cider. We did a Google search and found garden grove in Carytown. Unfortunately, that day they did not have any ciders but I was introduced to honey wines. I must admit honey wines are more up my alley. This space is great because they also have an area For a live band, which was playing jazz when I visited. shout out to the bartender for letting My boyfriend and I taste the different honey wines and ales they had before we decided on buying since this was our first time there.

Overall this place is fine - and has a wide variety of selections/flavors depending on if you're in the mood for a good brew or mead (which we tried a few of - they are delicious!) Ended up getting the PBR and Swiss Bliss (both pictured) which may not have been the right choice in all honestly. Wish we went with something sweeter since that is what they are more known for (i.e. honey wine). The only other major gripe I had was that this was our last spot on the Richmond Beer Trail - which after you complete five breweries, you are gifted a prize by the brewery you are at when you complete it. This place did not actually know what or where their prizes were which was a huge bummer for us - especially since it was the only one in the immediate area and we had to drive elsewhere to get our prize! But otherwise staff was very friendly and it was very spacious - lots of empty tables for a Friday night unfortunately. Worth a visit if you are in Carytown/Cary Street, but would not go out of your way for it otherwise.

This place is awesome. Whether you want beer or wine, this place has both. I had some of their red wines and they were quite good. The atmosphere and service here were also great. I highly recommend trying it out.

One of my fav breweries! This little hidden gem is special. We all know rva has a craft beer scene. This is a place that has not given in to the corporate overlords. Don't get me wrong hardywood, ardent, triple crossing --they're fun. Hardywood is now a force to be reckoned with.....giving beer theme park vibes... hey I don't hate it!Garden grove is much more chill. I have unfortunately reduced my frequency of visiting due to financial cut backs..ahem... however, I went yesterday for the first time in a long time and felt called to review. I tried a flight, 4 beers. PBR ("preferred beer of Richmond" --don't get it twisted) paw paw, single wide, and second circle. There are of course rotating tap choices. Surprisingly to me, the pawpaw was the best! I'm no beer connoisseur so I won't waste your time reporting on the flavors and notes.. but it was tasty with a little kick. Atmosphere in GG is relaxed. Bar tenders are chill and helpful. There are some choices for wine/cider. There are board games to play with friends, live music events and you can bring your well behaved furry dog buds if you want to. 5/5 check it out next time you're in C-town.

Garden Grove is a great place that seems to attract a fascinating array of people! I went to Garden Grove with my boyfriend for the stand-up open mic night they host and it was a great time! The bartender was kind, attentive, and seemed genuinely happy to be interacting with everyone. I got their Kitsu honeywine and it was fantastic. It was sweet while not being overpowering. A very easy sip for a night of laughs! I also found the pricing to be affordable for the location.
