I've been here many events ago and recently had my own event here. The guy running the place is always nice and accommodating. The center is in the beautiful part of the Ghent area. I wish they can do something about the landscaping because It looks like big bushy weeds growing everywhere but I'm sure that's part of the "look"For the inside there are 2 floors you can make use of that includes a kitchen on the first floor. The center itself is spacious and for what I needed it for, it fit the need. The place is dated and could need some major remodeling.

I attended a wedding and reception at the Fred Huette Center (Yelper Amber K.'s nuptials). It's a beautiful grassy park/gardens that offers a time out in the middle Ghent. This is a wonderful wedding venue because most of your event can take place outside on the lawn. There is plenty of room for a wedding ceremony outside. Also, they can put up tents for a dining area or just in case the weather turns. There also is a small building where you can have a DJ and dancing. I will never forget Amber K.'s wedding, for one thing because it was about 110 degrees that day. But really what I remember is a beautiful venue, excellent food (catered by Gourmet Gang), a fun DJ and a really great couple.

Nice place for meetings, small weddings, arts and crafts shows, and much more. Beautifully maintained in the center of the neighborhood. Has a herb garden maintained by volunteers.

This place is in a beautiful central location in Ghent with easy to find parking within neighborhood it's located in. The grounds were kept up nicely, and the building itself has unique features as well as a rich history with this building actually being relocated to this particular location. We attended a "celebration of life" meal here and utilized the downstairs formal eating/gathering area as well as the main entry area for picking out what food items we wanted for the meal. It felt a bit small and congested for a larger party, and the upstairs bathroom was broken as well at the time of this gathering (which led to all persons attending this function having to use the men's bathroom downstairs). Overall, it was nice, but a bit dated, and felt like there needed to be a bit more upkeep effort made to bring this up to a higher standard so as to be more pleasing to those investing in this place when renting it out.
