Frank's Monster Munchies Cantina

Stopped by today on a whim and it did not disappoint!!! We got buffalo chicken fries which were spicy and creamy and delicious. Than we split a Philly chicken burrito which was surprisingly tender, juicy, and full of flavor also. Before we could leave we ended our visit with churros which were amazing, sweet, cinnamony, and authentic! We will be back and soon! (Unfortunately we forgot to take pictures.)

We were eyeing Frank's Monster Munchies Cantina for lunch but we didn't make it before the 2pm closing. Instead we decided to come back later in the evening when they opened back up for dinner. The decor in this restaurant was so much fun and iconic. We were sat within minutes despite the fact that they were super busy. We were promptly greeted by a server that was so kind and genuinely seemed like she enjoyed being there. She informed us it was her first day.We ordered the following:MargaritaTaquitos Chorizo & Egg BurritoDeep Fried PhillyMelted White QuesoThe margarita was underwhelming so I ended up ordering a Corona. I didn't taste any tequila, just the margarita mixed they used to make my drink. The melted white queso was surprising. It's definitely not something I'm used to. The owner came by our table to check on us and she explained why her queso looks and tastes the way it does. It was not my favorite and I don't think I would order a queso like that anywhere. Now for the WOW moment of the meal. The taquitos stole the show. They were awesome! I would go back just for those. The filling, the crispness of the shell, and the toppings were perfection. My boyfriend enjoyed his chorizo and egg burrito and my deep fried Philly was so tasty. There were large chunks of steak and so much cheese! For dessert we decided to try the strawberry churro funnel cake. We devoured every last one of them because it was so good. This is definitely a gem and a must see if you are ever visiting the area!

After Sophia and I left the movies after checking out The First Omen (thumbs up from both of us), we headed here for lunch. This is I believe our 3rd visit since they opened up their own brick and mortar spot. Never have we had a dish that was a disappointment. And this one continued the streak.We were immediately seated upon walking in where it had a nice little crowd. TVs were up playing mixups of R&B music and service was efficient with each customer. We were ready with our selections. I decided on the Triple OG burrito, which was shredded chicken, pinto beans, corn, cheese, lettuce and pico de gallo. Pretty good stuff. My picture may not be the best but there were a lot of ingredients in this 14" bad boy. Full of flavor and definitely had yours all filled up.Once again, we had a really nice time here. Great service, great food. Couldn't ask for anything more. Till next time :)

Not sure how this place has 5 stars. Food is subpar. I ordered the Baja Fish Tacos and the fish looked and tasted like it was straight from the freezer section. The guacamole needed some lime and salt. The chicken wings were bland without any sauce (no salt, pepper, etc.) The food needs some love on the seasoning side. The staff and service were great. The ambiance was pretty chill. There are ceiling tiles with what appears to be mold on them.

Really enjoyed all the food we had our waitress was awesome and the prices were great!

What a yummy restaurant with a mix of delicious food!Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening. The walls are covered with pictures and it's a casual style restaurant. We were seated right away and brought over water. We were also brought out chips and salsa. It was nice that the server asked if we wanted hot, mild or a green verde salsa. I can't handle spicy so he nicely brought out the hot and mild salsa. The salsa had great flavor! The chips weren't warm but no biggie! Just something I prefer. For mains we got the fried cheesesteak burrito and the chicken nachos. Hubs loved the cheesesteak burrito and he was born and raised in Philadelphia! The chicken nachos were also very good. I prefer a white queso but the queso on the nachos was still good. Also I liked the chicken a lot too! We got dessert to go and enjoyed the fried strawberry' cheesecake. Delicious! Overall a yummy place with good service and can't wait to go back to try more.

Love the super awesome monster theme! My husband had the carne asada taco and I had the taco salad with chicken! Both amazing and delicious and fresh! The salsa was fresh and delicious, too! The service was polite and friendly and added to the fun atmosphere:) Thank you for an amazing lunch date! Will definitely be back!!

What a cool atmosphere, throw back hip hop, Frankenstein, vintage photos. The staff even matches the vibe! Love it. The food was made with quality ingredients, you know how Mexican usually kills your stomach? This place leaves you feeling great!

Had the pleasure of meeting Charlie and Theresa during my time in VA and finally got around to checking out their family-owned Cantina, Franks Monster Munchies. This place is dope! It's worth the stop to check out the custom decorations, music scene, and vibe alone. The staff was extremely friendly, and the service was excellent. The restaurant/bar has a very new age, mom-and-pop type welcoming feel, like you're part of the family. I ordered various street tacos, chicken, carne asada, and chorizo, all of which were top-notch and hit the spot, but that chorizo taco was life-changing!

Thus place is so unique and amazing!! The decor is ECLECTIC!! If you love Halloween, DELICIOUS food, mellow vibe with great service and attention - YOU NEED TO COME HERE! Started as food truck and now a FABULOUS place to sit and have dinner!
