This review is specifically for the annual Mother's Day brunch event. There are several seating times, you need to call to reserve and it is prepay. Prices are very fair for what is offered. This event is popular and they squeeze a lot of tables and chairs in for it. We found it moderately difficult to walk around the seating area, a constant crowd was moving in and out as they refilled plates and finished dining. Staff seemed overwhelmed, and it was obvious watching they were trying hard to keep up with diners but they just couldn't. The brunch includes all you can drink champagne- getting that first glass took forever (same problem with coffee), getting refills was even more difficult.Food is set up buffet style, the main courses and sides in a separate room from diners. Dessert is set up in the room you eat. Traffic flow once you left the dining room wasn't bad at all, they set up the buffet as stations rather than one long table and that helped I am sure. They offered a wide variety of items from an omelet station to carved meats to typical breakfast and lunch sides. The chicken cordon blue and the fried chicken were particularly tasty. One thing that stood out was there were items offered that hadn't been on the event flyer. It was nice having some extra surprise choices! The pastry tables were superb. Everything we sampled (and we sampled a lot...) was delicious, from scones to cup cakes to mousse. There was a huge variety, including a chocolate fountain with all the fun dippers you'd want. We found this to be a value price wise, the food was delicious, I just wish it wasn't so crowded and hectic. It's probably worth doing again next year.

I've been here for a number of social events over the past 10+ years. Events ranging from weekday lunches, wedding receptions, New Years Eve bashes, Easter brunches etc. The food and drinks have always been on par. Yes the facility needs more attention, that's a fact. But the effort has been strong, the food and drink has been good and the staff has ALWAYS been helpful, professional and eager to serve the customer. After all this is a convenient venue for folks on the Army base. Nothing extravagant but sufficient with some improvement needed.

Buyer Beware - I GOT RIPPED OFF BY THESE PEOPLE!I booked an event with Ft. Eustis Club for November 2024. The first rip off was, the contract details they sent me gave a price for 4 hour booking windows. When I made the reservations I was verbally told it was only 3 hours. Second, all the while I was working with the Manager (her name is Azeb) I never, not once, mentioned anything about a 'cash bar' - what I wanted, and all I EVER mentioned was an OPEN BAR for our gests. Azeb also said that I would need to put $400 up front and the total cost of all drinks would be subtracted from that $400. It wasn't until I arrived along with all 50 of my guests that I Azeb informed me that the $400 deposit was for the bar SET UP and BREAK DOWN fee only. Ok, it does NOT cost $400 to setup and break down a bar for 50 people so that's the second RIP OFF! Third, rather than standing there arguing with Azeb over the phone while my guests were seating themselves, Azeb suggested that to get around the having my guest pay for each drink I could give the bar tender my credit card and he would tally up the drinks at the end. So during the course of the party (3 hours) there were maybe 15 of the 50 guest drinking adult beverages. The bar tender hands me the bar tab at the end of the event and it totaled a whopping $488! Are you freakin' serious? 15 people can't possibly drink $488 worth of alcohol in 3 hours. I called Azeb first thing that Monday morning to discuss this with her and all she did was argue about how wrong I was. She didn't believe a thing I had to say and she would NOT lift a single finger to even look into the bar tab situation nor would she return my call as she promised. So at the end of the day I ended up paying a total of $888 for a 3 hour bar. If I had known all this before hand, I would've ask my guest to BYOB. I would HIGHLY recommend you save yourself the headaches of dealing with Azeb and the Ft. Eustis Club. Book someplace else!
