Wow. I mean, like...I've literally had THE BEST GELATO I have EVER had, at Steel Spade Gelato & Coffee food truck! Donnie is the owner and runs this great gelato show; very knowledgeable and has had lots of experience in creating these delicious concoctions. The flavor I tried was Lemon Golden Oreo, my mouth was like W T F in a good way!! I can't even explain how delicious it was! The texture and flavor was just amazing. No other words. I wanted my cup of gelato to last forever. I can't wait to try all the other flavors. This is definitely a truck I would chase. You should too! We frequently go out of our way to track down this truck. They make the most delicious gelato I have had in the area as well as occasional other concoctions. Just the other day we had gelato tacos that were amazing. Home made waffle cone filled with banana cream gelato filling dipped in chocolate.

Let me tell you, Food Trucks of Virginia was spectacular. We could hardly believe how affordable this place was. Every thing that we got was flavorful. I certainly liked the service too, they are very courteous and attentive. I will definitely return to Food Trucks of Virginia when I'm in the area again.

My friend and I were at Harborfest in downtown Norfolk and in search of locally owned, homemade gelato or ice cream and we hit the jackpot! Steel Spade made its own gelato within the last 24 hours and parked its food truck at the perfect location. I sampled the dulce de leche and ordered a scoop of it with a sugar cone. Each bite was heavenly. The flavor and texture were on point. It was not overly sweet and not too creamy. I immediately started following Steel Spade on social media so I could keep tabs on where to grab more gelato. I also look forward to trying its coffee!
