Food Lion

This Food Lion is very clean and organized. There have been recent updates to this location and it goes a long ways. The produce seems very fresh and the variety of baked goods look so delicious. The people at this store are very friendly every time I go. You can't beat the prices here and they always have a lot of sales. I've never had a hard time finding what I needed because they keep the store well stocked. I would definitely recommend visiting this location for grocery shopping.

My husband and I were on a road trip headed to Petersburg and decided to stop in here to get some snacks and use the restroom. We are from Yorktown so not that far away from this location. Compared to our Foodlion at home and this one is night and day. To start, this store is huge and most importantly very well stocked. This store is also very clean and equipped with self check out lines for your convenience. My favorite thing is the aisles are very wide ! I honestly wish I lived closer so I could shop here on a weekly basis, but if in the area before heading home I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this store !

I think people visiting the food lion on Merrimac Trail be ware when you see, Big Sale, Buy One Get One Free. Do the math, you are not getting one free. I was in there tonight and saw the sign I I got four box of caned Pepsi and Dr. Pepper. I went the cashier and ask him how much was one box? He asked for my MVP Card. He scanned it,put it in the register and said "$4.00 with card. I then said the sign stated buy one get one free, right? He said yes, so I got four boxes and you rang up $16+Tax. I said the sign stated buy one get one free.That is $8.00 +Tax. He then called the Manager. She came over and checked the situation. She then said " Sir each box is $4.79. He gave you $4.79 off on each box. I told her he told me with a MVP Card buy one the next free The equals $4.00each"The Manager agreed with him. I told her $7.79 was the cost with no card, & I had one,so the price should be $8.00+ Tax total. Do the Math. She stated " You are right, I can't figure it out myself. The Store Manager did this". She then shook her head and walked away. I repeat beware of Sales of any price of buy one get one free, or get something free, because you don't.

Forget a single login & create a hassle for getting discounts, that's crap. Waste of time. That's why you get 1 Star. Ditch the hassle & get your start back. Deal? Didn't think so. Sent to another aisle to buy single container of Icecream bc ur aisle is closed(ing). Do you realize I went to The automated line & advanced the cause that's putting you out of a job?!

Im a teenager and me and my friends meet here and hang out multiple times a week. It is a great grocery store and the employees r very nice and helpful

Visiting Williamsburg and stopped here for a few items. Very clean and reasonably priced grocery store. Anxious to try our deli items! Great prices and has everything you need from a grocery store!

Never a register open in the evening anymore. The location as close to my home, but it's worth it I guess to drive to a another place where they actually have people working in the store.

I go out of my way to shop at the John Tyler Food Lion because the associates here are the best! Alexandra in bakery made a special effort to make the cookies that were out of stock. Every person here has been great!Thank you!

Disgusting!!I was in three different Food Lions during my stay in VA and they all were gross.This particular Food Lion was dirty, half-finished, and smelled like urine.Appetizing, no?
