Food Lion

I work by this food lion & it's so convenient because now they have a self check out ! & they also take Apple Pay. Their hot bar food is so delicious I always get it when I'm on break & it never disappoints. The sushi from there is also cheap & delicious! I love the workers there they are always welcoming & inviting ! I just love the environment there ! I will always be back. By the way the managers are so helpful there !

Call it like I see it. This is my local grocery store. I have been here dozens of times, and I've had zero issues. The one thing you notice right away is the sheer amount of people that work here. There is someone by the front door where the shopping carts are. They are stocked with cashiers. There's are folks in the bakery, deli, and produce. When you walk around, there are workers in the aisles restocking. Second thing I notice is how clean everything is and orderly. Those things matter. I've also had zero issues finding things that I need. Now do they have speciality items like a fresh market would have? No. But they do have items a typical grocery store would have. Lastly, I rarely wait long in line if I even have to wait. The cashier's are quick and respectful. Well done.

For the most part this is my go to grocery store, I'm there multiple times a week and never have a problem finding items or getting help with anything. But I went in there the other day after work to pick up a few things. The place was slammed packed any every employee was pretty busy. What really rubbed me the wrong way was when the cashier Temika rolled her eyes & said Jesus Christ under her breath when I asked if she could get me a pack of cigs. I didn't understand why she made it a big deal to do her job and show great customer service. I've never had an issue in that store but now I would hope to never go threw her line again.

Anybody calling it the "Hood Lion" is racist so ignore that foolishness, it's a safe, clean, food lion, not ant issues to be concerned about. If you need to get groceries in this area, go here

This is like the DMV of supermarkets in the area. - No Salad Bar?!- Poor Produce Selection- No Self Checkout- No real Meat/seafood selection- Cashiers always complaining - poor customer service.- This store no longer fits the neighborhood. Please tear this store down and build a Harris Teeter or Wegman's

The flea market of Food Lions. - Expired food. - Cashiers who tell you how tired and exhausted they are. - Hamburger buns from their bakery that our 11 year old refused to eat.- Last remodeled during the Nixon Administration.- Poor selection of produce.- AVOID DURING THE FIRST OF MONTH - that is when everyone on food stamps is shopping and the lines are long.

I was surprised by all of the negative reviews of this Food Lion. It's the closest one to my house & I frequent it weekly. It's also right down from our gym, so it's super convenient. The staff is always super friendly to my boyfriend & I, even joking with us while in line. The shelves are always stocked & I've never had a problem finding anything. The other night my boyfriend was looking for queso & he said one of the employees walked around the entire store with him looking for it. Turns out they were out from the Super Bowl the night before, and it was back the next night we went in. I even went the night of the snowstorm, & though the lines were longer than normal I was out fairly quick. I definitely miss my old Shore Dr Food Lion with the make your own 6 pack & seafood, but this one does the trick for basic grocery shopping.

Just wanted to complement Chantel for her wonderful service. Not sure her position, but was very busy helping employees and customers alike. She was kind, patient and very respectful. Well done for wonderful customer service. You don't see that at every store.

This is my neighborhood food lion and over the years it's been a great experience. The last several times I've been in I've really felt welcomed by Taimeak. He is the attendant for self checkout a lot of times when I'm there and I always notice how he tells everyone who leaves to have a nice evening and thanks for coming in and also when you walk in! He's also so kind to always return my shopping basket for me too. He goes above and beyond everytime I'm in there. He deserves the recognition for sure. Also have been really enjoying the new renovations this food lion has done. Thanks Taimeak and food lion employees!!

It's 720am and once a month around this same time and on my way to work I stop in to get a money order for my rent. Apparently who ever is on the closest register works customer service. After waiting a couple minutes the already visibly frustrated cashier turned to me and said "whacho want?" Yikes! I stated that I'd like a money order. I was told that customer service was closed. I stated that I come by at this time before. She then stated that she was customer service and was on the register and to gave a nice day. Now I seriously doubt she was the only employee on duty. A manager could have been called for assistance etc. Seems to be a common theme at this location. Do better Foid Lion!
