Food Lion

Back to awful. Felt like they were getting better.... Last 3 time I've gone prices have been wrong. Things that are tagged as sales ring up as full price primarily. I'm not going to fight over a couple bucks but it makes me want to avoid shopping there. Lines are back to always being long and the cashiers barely acknowledge you.

I stopped by as soon as they opened on 6/22/21 right before I went to work. I needed to buy a few items. The store was clean and tidy. The merchandisers were there replenishing and rotating their products. Mostly everyone was friendly except a manager who didn't speak at all. Maybe she wasn't a morning person, but out of everyone there, I expect the manager to be the friendliest. Anyway, I got my items and went to the first register I could. The cashier was nice & quickly rang me up for me to pay. I was in and out of there within 10 mins. Almost everyone had on a mask. I would go back for sure.

Sometimes I have to remember where I came from. I haven't been to a Food Lion in a veryyy long time but on New Years Eve I made a quick morning run to this location. It was empty and I needed some Velveeta cheese so I could make my Award winning mac n cheese. Found the cheese area and voila Velveeta galore. The store was clean and the staff was helpful. On my way to the register i saw that had a self checkout area and I was like "oh yes!" I live for self checkout. I miss coming into Food Lion and scanning my MVP card and watching my total drop. I'll be back food lion.. I'll be back.

We visited this Food Lion recently as we were driving on West Mercury Boulevard and needed to visit a grocery store. I was pleasantly surprised that this particular Food Lion was so much better than the Food Lion on Coliseum Drive. It was larger, newer, and had more selections. This store improved my opinion of the Food Lion grocery chain by quite a bit.

I'm not sure if it's because of the area or what, but only having two registers open and no self checkout is ridiculous. The lines at this location routinely extend to the back of the isles. Come ready to wait in a 20+ min queue.
