Food Lion

This will be my first bad review and I don't normally do reviews for grocery stores. While I came away with the groceries that I needed and the shopping part was OK, the checkout process was about as non social as it gets. The young person checking us out never spoke a word but chewed gum the whole time he was scanning my items. He looked like he hated being there and had a non emotional look on his face the whole time. No hello, no asking for the MVP card, no amount of my bill, no here's your change, no thank you, NOTHING. I know this is probably not the most exciting or rewarding job out there but there are many that do it everyday with a smile on their face and a nice greeting. I may go back to this store but I will avoid this cashier for sure.

Since the pharmacy has been converted from Farm Fresh to Food Lion, the phone in refill service is terrible. My doctors can't reach the pharmacy, I can't get an answer most of the time to call in refills, and the 'automatic' refill service...is nil. We love the pharmacy staff and have trusted them for many years now. It's just very disappointing that, after placing our trust in this store for so long; now we can't even get our medicine without having to TRY to get through on the telephone. It would seem that it's been sufficient time for the store to, at least, have a pharmacy telephone that WORKS! In no way do we blame the pharmacy. This is a STORE problem. The pharmacy staff have always gone out of their way to provide exception care and service in providing our medical needs. But the store...in matters of life or death, one would think the store manager would be a bit more concerned about a 'part-time' pharmacy telephone!

Worst place in Elizabeth city to ten shop , staff are hateful, disrespectful,and poorly trained, my aunt was robbed here , just a matter of time before listen shootouts in parking lot start happening , don't take kid there please!!!

Poor service when compared to the other grocery stores in town. See the ad in the paper? I can pretty much guarantee that by the time you get there they'll be out of everything advertised.
