Love this place! They serve pretty good sushi at the best prices I've seen in the area!When my daughter suggested we have sushi for New Year's Eve, this was the first place that came to mind! 3 rolls with miso soup for $12.99 is definitely a win! We had shrimp tempura, chicken teriyaki, spicy salmon, and salmon and avocado rolls along with veggie spring rolls and shrimp shumai. Everything was fresh and made to order. Wait time was minimal, and the young man who took my order was very polite and had a pleasant demeanor. As it was New Year's Eve, we did get food to go. However, they do offer dine-in service. It's not fancy, but it has a decent enough vibe that I would maybe dine in for lunch. All in all, the fresh, hot, and delectable sushi, spring rolls, and shumai (with fantastic presentation...sorry I didn't take pics) were the perfect meal for my daughter and me to bring in the New Year!

We have been coming to this location for quite a while. It hasn't changed much and is very consistent on provided good food. The staff is always nice and the food comes out fairly quick. Only a few times has it bogged down, but I believe that is because everyone ordered at once.The inside of the restaurant does have seating and about 7 tables and a small bar area to sit at. The music isn't too loud also like some places.We usually get sushi and some chicken teriyaki. The chicken teriyaki is usually very tender and they will give you extra sauce if you ask. We are pretty simple with our sushi and stick to the Cali roll and shrimp tempura usually. Our child does love the chicken teriyaki roll even though it really isn't sushi. One of our favorite tempura rolls in the Superman roll which I do recommend eating while it is still hot.We did move further away from here, but we will for sure be back every time we visit our family over here.

Flaming japan has a good deal for sushi during lunch or the lunch special teriyaki. I got the beef and shrimp teriyaki with yum yum sauce on the side. I asked for extra onions and it was $1 extra which wasn't bad. The amount of onions they gave me was a decent amount. The food was good and the staff was nice. They accidentally added egg, but i told them it wasn't a problem. I'm glad they made the mistake, lol. It tasted better!! They have appetizers, sushi, noodles and more. The prices are reasonable and they're food is consistent. Check them out...

Number one go to n Virginia Beach when we start talking about quick dinner options. The portions are great and the whole family enjoys. A must try for everyone.

Hella good eats. Cheap chicken teriyaki and pretty good sushi rolls. Definitely try the Fall roll and the Tiger roll. Been here many times throughout the years and it is always a certified banger. Quick and easy fast casual Japanese food.

Was craving some Teriyaki so I thought I try something new out side my usual. Flaming Japan was a top choice that was open past 8 pm. I ordered the Chicken and Beef Teriyaki with MIXED veggies and fried rice. I was a little disappointed with the overall taste. There weren't any mixed veggies, just cabbage haha. I was expecting maybe carrots or broccoli at least but my entree was just protein, cabbage and rice. I felt that since I was starving, I overlooked the bland taste of my food.

Love the food here but they need to work on hygiene. I came in to order and saw the sushi person coughing on the avocado he was unwrapping. Didn't cover his mouth or turn away. It was open mouth and directly facing the food. The hibachi chef had the decency to wear a mask. And they do charge for every little thing. They do try to make your food as fast as they can which is nice.

The sushi is just ok to me. Probably on par with Harris teeter sushi. The service has always been good, never had any issues. The space is not very welcoming for eating in, and should be fixed up some.

I went on a referral....it is small and more takeout than seating. It is all rolls-if that is what you like.I didn't order as the fish looked a bit MEH...

Ordered lunch from here, fast service, and the food was good. Sushi is good- the California roll and shrimp tempura roll. Nice and fresh when you order it. The chicken/shrimp/beef teriyaki was ok. It's drowned in teriyaki sauce, which is to sweet for me, but for the price and the amount of food given, my kids enjoyed it. I'll be back esp since the price is pretty decent.
