Fishbones Raw Bar And Restaurant

We visit the OBX pretty much every year and we have come to Fishbones the last few years. This year was probably the best. We had four adults and two kids and required 2 high chairs. The staff sat us right where I requested and was very accommodating to our needs. The kids were rambunctious as expected but our waiter interacted with them at times and all was great. The food was exceptional. My oysters on the half shell were dynamite as was my Hatteras burger. My wife got the crab cake sandwich and said it was delicious. Everyone else raved about their appetizers (Philly Cheesesteak Eggroll) and entrees. The food and drinks were on point, and the young man who waited on us was exceptional. Great experience and we'll likely be back next year.

We stopped in for lunch while out doing some shopping in Duck. I wasn't too sure about the raw bar option since I'm vegan but they had some vegan options which made me very happy. You could get the truffle fries without cheese and the burgers as Impossible Meat. We (Dad, brother and I) sat at the bar and all three of us had beer. Two had the Amber ale (very good) and one an IPA. Not an IPA person so can't speak to it though Dad said it was good. All the burgers can be made with the impossible burger which I chose. You can have them made pretty much anyway you want so I had mine with no cheese, the Hatteras Burger, and it was great. I had my burger with the Tabasco Onion Rings and they were probably the best part of the meal. Thin, crispy, and delicious. Definitely get those rings if you can!Overall a good lunch with my feedback being that it was very dark inside and the time it took to get our food. Way longer than it should have taken to get a burger, onion rings, and two salads, even with the lunch crowd.

Incredible food and service! I came in to sit at the bar, not expecting much, and was greeted with amazing service and equally incredible food and drinks. The wings, ahi nachos, regular nachos, and cheesesteak egg rolls were all incredible!! The cocktails were all well balanced and affordable (from a NYers perspective at least). Great service and calm atmosphere overall!

We didn't get there until 8:15ish. I think they close at 9:00 even though their hours say 10:00. As we were eating they were wiping down tables and cleaning up, andddd we were the only table there. The food came out hot and delicious. I think we got lucky considering the reviews on here are pretty bad. The service was okay, they all seemed like they were ready to go. The lighting is pretty cool though, kind of gives it a serene feel.

Came in on a Friday afternoon. Service was awful. I wanted to try their specialty drink- Lava Lava. The drink comes in a large volcano cup that you take home. They did not have any volcano cups. The waitress said- I can put it in a pitcher for you. We will not return.

I have been coming here for years, unfortunately, for as great as the food is, as excellent the wait staff is. Something has been bothering me for a week. Our server and the kitchen were miscommunicated, and we were overcharged for a meal item. Rather than fixing it, the assistant manager boldly stated that because a mistake happened, the server had to pay for the error out of her pocket. I could see the defeat on the server's face, and we went to the manager who made it right. Still, earlier this summer servers told us that the managers love up upcharge people because no one looks at the bill.

The food was good. Clam chowder was the best meal. The service is awful. One person never got their meal after 45 minutes. It was a fish BLT. We even told the Manager. We asked them to take the cost off but then wouldn't give us the meal (to go). We had to go because we waited so long. The staff was young, confused, not trained well and didn't care about the awful service. We were a party of 8. No water refills. Skip this place. It's not worth the mediocre food and worst service ever.

Great find! Our server, Carol, was great!! The portion are big for dinner, great selection on the menu. Drink menu has interesting drinks... some were ordered and pictures posted.

Great food and service lived the wings and had a great all around experience I would highly recommend
