Fish Hook's Cafe

We went last night, the seafood was amazing! We split a large Trawler plate with a good variety of meats. Fiancé loved the crab cake but my favorite was the scallops. Oysters and flounder were also really good. It's a little pricey but for fresh N.C. seafood definitely worth it.

Once again an outstanding dinner at Fish Hooks.The grilled tuna with Mac and Cheese and Green Bean sides is first rate and great value.

What a find! Super nice people. Especially Danielle! They take their covid precautions seriously AND make you feel welcome. The food was awesome. I had the flounder plate and G had the shrimp basket. Only 4-5 items on the menu. Makes decision making easy. Fries are seasoned and crispy. Corn bread and coleslaw are both as God intended.

We enjoyed the lunch buffet at this place on veterans day! They had chicken, apples, meatloaf, squash, corn bread, fresh salad bar, string beans, etc... you definately left full! The food was hot, delicious and plentiful! The waiters were friendly and kind. Totally enjoyed our lunch! Wish I had taken some pictures but there are enough picture reviews anyway. Will definately go back!

I was exceedingly disappointed in my latest experience at Fish Hook's. We called to specifically ask if the restaurant was following COVID precautions and was told they were. We should have exited upon our arrival but decided to proceed to our table with our masks on. Not one employee was wearing a mask and continued to be that way for the whole evening. All 3 in our party are in the higher risk categories and have been quite cautious. While the food met expectations the staff greatly concerned us by not following proper and expected guidelines. It will be a long time before we return.

What a cute place! We were traveling through and decided to stop. Very clean, great food and friendly service. Lunch buffet was reasonable and delicious!

Good lunch buffet. Sunday is bestMenu changes in evenings. Good fried green tomatoes. Fried scallops are terrible Otherwise good fried food

We arrived at noon and they were busy but seated us quickly. I had flounder and fries and my wife had steak pattie melt. Both were delicious! Service was attentive and appropriate.

Hidden gem, great home cooking, Sunday brunch or Salad bar from 11a-2p, friendly owners of 20 years. Free parking, ample inside seating, clean restaurant. Don't let boring outside fool you, eat local, walking distance to waterfront.

This was our go to seafood spot for years but for our last few visits the shrimp and oysters have been terribly overcooked. After the first we figured it was just an anomaly but three times in a row makes it just the way it is. We'd love to come back but probably won't until we hear they have corrected the kitchen.
