Firehouse Boil Delivery

Most delicious food ever down here in OBX area for a night to stay in and have an awesome company come out and prepare it for us.

Absolutely cannot say enough good things about Dave and Jeff! I contacted Dave at the last minute and he was able to provide me a quote, and then adjust the quote when I made some changes. We had a brief phone conversation that left me confident I'd selected enough food for my group and that I'd chosen the right cooking option for us. We were renting a home in OBX and didn't want to go through the hassle of cooking it ourselves on our first night, but didn't feel a chef was needed, so the middle ground "they start it, we finish it" option was perfect!Jeff set everything up outside, was wonderful to talk to, and the food was delicious. We had more than enough to go around, and the experience kicked off a great week in the OBX.Oh, and Dave was AMAZING at accommodating my very last minute (as in 6 hours before our scheduled time) request to push our boil back one hour. We had a small billing hiccup and Dave was immediately responsive and apologetic about correcting his error.Seriously great guys running a neat business with delicious food! If we come back to OBX, we'd definitely hire them again!

The most amazing experience you can have and Duck, NCT h did an amazing job the seasoning and the amount of food you get Is beyond worth itTons of crab shrimp scallops. Potatoes and corn. Make sure they come to the house and prepare it for you. The experience is worth it TH will tell you about. How they source the food and how they cook itDo not miss this experience.

First off everything about this place is a breeze (other than you have to cook yourself). The guys run the phone lines quickly, everything is neatly packaged, drop off in a big fun truck, easy disposal, the works. Everything extremely extremely fresh, including the shrimp and lobster tails (good size too). The guys on here have 5 star reviews so I feel comfortable giving a 4 as it shouldn't hurt them too much. I will switch this to a 5-star review if/when they are ever at risk of lower rankings because this deserves a 4.5 star review. My "negatives" are as follows: 1. Spoken directions differed from written directions. We tended to follow the spoken directions, but it did lead to some confusion (we are idiots).2. Fellas, don't be afraid of the spice, or offer people a "full spice" option. Whether it was too much water in the pot (a written v. spoken instruction issue), or there was just not enough spice, we could've used a lot more spice in our boil. When ladling food out, it looked as though no spice had seeped into anything. Let's just say that as four white folk originating from the Northeast, the food looked liked we had made it. I'd recommend the guys add spice levels as an option, or, if you dear reader see this, be prepared with some old bay and Tony C's of your own. This being said, the broth from the boil, once added to quite a bit of hotsauce, did make for a decent dipper. Either way, wouldn't hesitate to order again.EDIT: Just noticed that Firehouse Boil has 30+ reviews which all appear to be 5-star and are being blocked by YELP. That is BS, so I'm changing my review to a 5-star until this company's "blocked" reviews are restored. Pros/cons above still stand, but this is not a place trying to trick folks.

The best add to our beach vacation - booked a boil w Jeff & Dave day of (only a few hours notice) for 12 people. They were super flexible and accommodating. Delivered everything to us and set us up to cook it "ourselves" - quotes here bc Jeff idiot proofed the whole thing for us and made sure we had a great meal. 10/10 service 10/10 taste 10/10 experience. Highly recommend

Great food and service. Great value for quality and quantity of fresh seafood and veggies you get.

To me the appeal of a cook-it-yourself boil delivery is everything is assembled and ready to go, throw it on the stove and you're set. Firehouse delivers a dirty, smelly pot and a bag of groceries, so you need time and space for prep and cooking things separately. Our pot wasn't large enough for our boil and everything cooked unevenly as a result. Bizarrely, the seafood and meat was all frozen and the mussels were imported, precooked trash. Shockingly poor experience for the high price, can't understand all the other positive reviews of this place.

Delicious shrimp boil. The corn and sausage especially were really fresh. Old Bay seasoning and lemon added just the right amount of flavor.

Wow this seafood boil is DELICIOUS! My Dad lives in OBX so I've tried most of the seafood boils in the area and this one is the best. Fresh seafood, delicious seasoning, and the best sausage I've ever had. I will absolutely be a repeat customer!
