Fire & Hops Pizza

Today was busy at lunch! The food is consistently delicious. It can be a challenge on food turnaround if you only get an hour for lunch. Had the Sicilian sub today and it was tasty and massive. We also had the Jumbo Stuffed Tots as a starter. Pretty good. We'll be back. Check them out!

Sat outside on a cold night, however, the heat lamp at the table was just enough ! I had the lasagna and salad. The salad was great! Lasagna was good, however, a tad bland for my tasting. The server was super friendly and attentive !

Look, I'm not a mozzarella stick guy but after eating takeout from here? I just might be. UNREAL. I don't know what it was - the monstrous size, the crispy oily exterior, or the delectable cheese filling... all the above? They were perfect. We also ordered the Drunken Grandma, which was a hit amongst friends, as well as The Spicy Goat, which was gone within seconds it was so good. Just the right amont of tang to go with each bite of savory pepperoni, loved the crunch of the crust and the perfect char on it. Honestly think I found a new favorite pizza in RVA?

We went for dinner on a Saturday evening and got seated right away on high tops in the bar area. It happened to be like 5 minutes before happy hour ended so we were hopeful we'd get our first round of beers before cutoff time but if not, no big deal. Anyway, the bartender came out shortly after we sat and took our beer orders. They do have a decent selection which I would expect since hops is part of their name. He came out and brought our beers and took our order. We stuck with just ordering on individual pizza to start. We got the Diavolo, which came out promptly. It was pretty delicious and we ended up sticking with just one pizza. We enjoyed the ambiance inside but with that brick oven in there, it was pretty hot inside. They gotta kick up that AC in the summer. Beyond that, we did enjoy our time there and service was great. We will be back!PS: Our beers got the happy hour price even though we ordered like one minute before it was over. Win!

After a couple of drinks at the jasper, my friend and I were craving pizza. We walked over to fire and hops. We chose to share the diavola and the buffalo chicken pizza. We sat outside on the patio which was excellent. Service was speedy and friendly. The pizzas were both delicious and full of great flavor.

I've only eaten on the outdoor patio. But the indoor space looks pretty casual too. Love the personal sized pizza and the choices of white and red base. The crust is perfectly thin on the bottom and a little chewy dough. They have a wide variety of Italian style food that's worth trying with a group. Definitely recommended!

Came here last night for pre race dinner and drinks for the marathon, was so glad that we did! We sat at the bar, the bartender (I think his name was Chris) had a full bar AND all the two tops in the bar area and he was holding it down! We never had to wait for service. He was great! We started with the mozz sticks, they're huge! I almost ordered less food because they were so big, but they were good. I got the fire and hops tortellini with a house salad, my partner thankfully stopped me before I ate my whole plate and regretted it. I couldn't stop eating because it was so damn good! That pink sauce is something else. My partner had the rigatoni dish and he said it was also pretty good. Disappointed because we didn't have space for dessert, but we are in town until Monday afternoon and definitely plan on making one more stop in!

Really good food, good service, good beer selection, long happy hour even on weekends! I got a delicious pizza that was on special (recommended by waitress). Excellent crust, great flavor. Other items ordered were: a salad with shrimp and burrata that was beautiful and yummy; and chicken pesto sandwich that was huge and tasty. Ordered a nice local RVA IPA to accompany my meal . Will definitely go back!

Oh my GOODNESSSSS ! What a great find just outside of the Fan in Richmond. Fresh ingredients, brick oven, cold beer, a perfect combination!

Comfortable and friendly. Very much like a relaxed local spot. The calamari was crispy and delicious- I'd recommend sauce on the side. The pizza was delicious as well. I recommend.
