Ferguson Oysters

Friendly! Great choice of seafood and other goodies. Packed my crabmeat in ice even though I told them I had a cooler bag. Love this place. I'll be back

The building was very clean and nicely displayed seafood in refrigerated cases. The staff greeted you politely once you entered the building. The staff worked to make sure our order was ready on time. We called the day before and placed an order for freshly made crab cakes and steamed crabs. The person that waited on us also instructed my wife on home to cook the crab cakes. They even had fresh pies for sale. We will be back against soon!

My mom and I stopped by Ferguson's on the way home to Maryland to check out the catch of the day. Was looking for a good pan fry fish but decided to try their cooked crab cakes and fresh oysters. The nice lady at the counter told us to sauté the cakes in butter. Followed her instructions and they were delicious!!! I haven't cooked the oysters yet but will definitely get the crab cakes again the next time we're in Laneview. Sorry no pics, I gulped it down. Next time for sure!

We stopped by hoping for some last minute oysters on our way back to DC but they don't serve oysters on the half shell even if you're driving through. It's definitely a bulk wholesaler. I wish we needed 100 oysters! They gave us some attitude that we would even think to stop in and ask but we're all about supporting local shops. They did, however, have some to go crab salad and shrimp which is something. Perhaps one day they'll have some oysters they can shuck for folks driving through, too!

Bought Four 12 oz containers of Ferguson's Oyster stew. Lots, I mean lots of oysters. Great flavors. Should have bought more.

Great oysters! Placed an order a couple days before pickup and they were ready to go when we got there when they opened. Friendly, nice employees.

Purchased crabs on 7/1 after owner assured me they were not included in the shellfish ban. 5 of us have been sick all day with diarrhea and nausea.

Back home in Va. for the holidays,got a referral for Fergusons Oysters. Jerry took our order for a 1/2 gal. of oysters,they were everything he said they would be. Some of the best oysters I've ever had. I'll never go anywhere else for oysters. Can't wait to go back.

Fergusson's is truly outstanding in the quality of seafood they offer and their service. They are not a restaurant but neither are they a 'wholesaler,' but rather a retail, fresh seafood outlet located, in most respects very near the source of their catch. Perhaps most refreshing is their obvious pride in the product. When you ask Jerry Fergusson for No. 1 Jimmy's, you get real no. 1's, carefully arranged boxed so that you know you are purchasing form someone who understands and appreciates his customers and his product.
