Fastop Specialty Beer Store

It was hard to find, drove by it the first time it's behind the gas station. They had a decent selection of beer and there were some locals who obviously spend a lot of time there gambling. It's been a very nice neighborhood and there's some good beer so if you're in the Richmond area find a house to rent in the area and get beer here

We were desperate for a place to get a beer at 8:30 on Easter Sunday. It seemed that all of the breweries in Richmond were closed, but this came up on the map as still open. Since it's minutes from my parents, we drove over. This selection was surprising, especially considering it's a convenience store. Like half of the store is beer. Lots of local selections along with some standards. We grabbed two Stones I had not had before, and were pretty pleased. Overall thumbs up for Fastop!

What a surprising place to find a terrific selection of beers! I went her on a recommendation from a friend, and she was 100% correct. You'll find microbrews in 6-packs, build your own 6-packs, 22-oz bottles, new releases, imports, and local brews. It looks like a typical convenience store, and you'll find a few chips and breath mints, but the focus is on beers and wines.There were plenty of wines, but I can't vouch for the quality. My eyes were on the beers. It's almost as good as those premium specialty beer stores!

I stumbled upon this place after talking with a distributor about finding some Bon-Chien sour beers (something Total Wine does not carry). They have a great beer selection and will order beers on your behalf - unlike the chain beer stores. I highly recommend it to anyone that loves craft beer.
