Farmer's Table

This is a great find! Order at the counter with a handful of tables inside and good outdoor space. I had the chicken sandwich and fries. So amazingly good. Homemade, fresh and a huge portion. I meant to take a photo but I was so hungry I dug right in. My husband has the spicy chicken sandwich and tots. Friendly staff and a great selection of ice cream and goods on the market size. We will be back!

Stopped by for restaurant week and had a great meal! There was a little bit of a line and wait but the food came out hot, and with kind service with a smile! Have eaten here a few times before and always have crispy tots or fries, big portions for their burgers or chicken sandwiches. Even with a mix-up of getting fries instead of tots, they fixed it right away! Also don't sleep on their shakes!!!! Always so good!!!

Sophia and I dined in for lunch 2 weekends ago at this spot in Newport News. This is actually our 2nd time here. 2 years ago, we ordered takeout as part of Newport News Restaurant Week ordering meals for $15. Both of us enjoyed our selections. So it was long overdue for another visit. Let's see how it turned out.For ordering, we placed our orders outside at the window before heading inside. Usually for the lunch crowd, they are packed liked the time we came for takeout. Luckily, there were plenty of seats for the taking. Everything has been well kept and spotless. The decor....very hip. Just like last time, I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich combo with fries and water for my beverage instead of a shake. And it was as good as the 1st time I tried it. The chicken was well cooked and not dry. And they didn't skimp on the sauce not toppings. The fries were pretty crunchy. Only mild complaint was the fries did have a bit too much seasoned salt, but everything was good nonetheless. Sophia had two hot dogs with fries and enjoyed her meal.I'm so glad these guys delivered for us once again. When a place like this continually bring in a crowd, you know they're doing something right. We'll definitely be back :)

The bacon wrapped hot dog and crispy chicken sandwich were delicious. The fries were good too.It's an interesting set up. Order outside, then seat yourself inside or out, and then they will run your food out to you.It's a neat little place, very casual.

Second time visiting this restaurant and had a burger once and a chicken sandwich and both meals were delicious. Great friendly service and clean restrooms also. Easy 5 star.

I have eaten here once before and I was excited to take my boyfriend to try it. As usual, the food and service did not disappoint. The spicy chicken sandwich was delicious and my boyfriend raved about the burger. Tots and fries cooked to perfection. Also, the ranch dressing is to die for. You also can't beat the price. We will definitely go back.

I've never been to the physical location, but every time I've ordered through DoorDash, the food has been fresh, hot, and delicious. The chicken sandwich is fantastic!

It was a little disappointing. This place looks great; it's small, locally owned, and has a little farmers market. The servers and service are excellent. As I said, the restaurant is small, there is outdoor seating, and it looks like you can order from the outside when the weather is nice. So why only three stars? Well, my burger was just a little undercooked and had zero flavor. Not raw but a little undercooked. For being a " farm to table," the beef patty looked commercially made. It looks like a previously frozen patty you get from the frozen aisle. I ordered fries with cheese, and it was a hot mess. There was way too much cheese; it looked like it was from a can, just too much. Maybe I'm being too critical, but I was a little turned off after the undercooked burger. But.. the crispy chicken sandwich stole the show. If I went back, and I don't know if I would, I would get the chicken sandwich. Maybe they were having a bad day.

So cute!! I loved the vibe! We chose to eat outside. You walk up to the window order your food then choose your seat. The inside is super cute. The food is delicious and moist. The sandwiches are huge! My brother said his was delicious but would have loved to see buffalo ranch sauce as an option. The service was great. I recommend this spot for great food and fresh air. The inside is very clean as well. Good times good eats. I love the artwork. The shakes are amazing! I got the peanut butter shake and my brother got the Reese's shake - out thoughts we needed protein after our walk on the Noland Trail. Lol.

I enjoy the Smithfield location & thought I would give this one a try since I was in the area. I visited on a rainy Monday evening. They have an outdoor order area & an indoor order area. It's an order at the counter & wait for your number to be called restaurant. There's limited seating inside but also some outdoor seating. Compared to the Smithfield location, this one is a work in progress but the food is just as good! I ordered the Farmhouse Burger with a basket of Fries. It was juicy, flavorful, & cooked perfectly. The fries were crispy & lightly seasoned to perfection. I highly recommend their hamburgers. As for desserts, their waffles cones are my favorite. It's like a mix of waffle cone & cookie wafer in one.
