Farm Fresh

Before I begin let me start off by saying that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone, so with that being said let's proceed!. I stopped by to grab another cup loaf of bread, so I decided to use the restroom while I was there. The bathroom seemed clean but was in need of some repairs. Other than that everything else was good!.

I wouldn't waste my time ever going to these sales again. The meat was very poor quality especially the steaks. When I say bad I mean really really bad. I tried just pan frying at first with a little fresh rosemary garlic and butter rib eye didn't even resemble a rib eye. At best a cheap tough London broil. Next time I made steaks I used the Ribeye. Porterhouse and T-bone. I dry aged them with a salt brine first marinated them over night, seared them on both sides then sautéed on a low fire with garlic. Onions and red peppers.and butter. They all tasted like tasteless peices of leather. No kind of flavor whatsoever. Worst steak I've ever tasted.

This store is permanently closed.Stay tuned... it should open up as as something else in the near future.Have fun and enjoy life:)

Dollar tree didn't have bread and after spending several hours with car trouble- I was too tired to go somewhere cheaper as this store is known as the food stamp store and everything is overpriced. The manager saw me looking at the prices of bread and counting my pocket change. He gave me a dollar and told him I didn't have to worry about paying him back. This was Thursday 7pm. Middle age black male with glasses. I was so tired and embarrassed. This area has some really kind people working the stores. Walmart would never have done what this store did

Poor customer service and bad management! I'd give this store no star if I could.So a single mother, with very little money, very little food, and no childcare is being yelled at outside the Farm Fresh (store #715) in Portsmouth for bringing her children with her to pick up a few groceries. The store is requiring all customers to cover their face (fair enough), or if they can't customers have to buy a mask from the store for $1/ea, which is not disclosed to customers before they arrive in social media or anywhere else. This mother cannot afford the $4 for masks or the extra gas money to go home and find a t-shirt to wrap around everyone's faces (the store's recommendation at the door if you don't buy a mask).I just... I'm appalled at the treatment of this mom and offered to go in and buy groceries for her. She's already too embarrassed. I get it, we're all a little stressed right now, but don't set aside human decency.

I like this location because it is clean and well maintained. The organic vegetable selection is growing - Yeah! They carry many ethnic specific brands and old fashioned brands of alternative medications like castor oil, witch hazel, etc.Love the organic, vegan and natural items offered.The butcher is helpful and knowledgabe. I am a novuce cook and he helps me pick the proper cut of meat for my recipes.This location has a great refrigerated adult beverage area and a great wine section. The cooks in this farm fresh have lines wrapped around the deli area by 5pm everyday for the fried chicken and southern comfort food ready for pickup. The fresh crab legs and shrkmp steamed while you wait are also big sellers every weekend.The lication is urban but its customer base is so diverse that everyone smiles at each ither and is comfortable with each other. Fabulous!

I stopped by this location only because I had time to kill until my hair appointment. I'm giving this experience a four out of five because of the price, it's $5.99/lb. I thought they might have certain days where it's discounted I ended up spending $8. Anyway I like the selection but make sure you get there before twelve because when the lunch crowd gets there it's pretty bare. The area was clean upon arrival and was also being restocked. I would return for lunch.

This review is specifically about the deli and salad bar. This is always a quick inexpensive option for lunch or dinner. They have a ton of healthy options on the salad bar. The salad bar is very clean and has a ton of different options including hot soup and a wing bar. The deli has fried and baked chicken. The deli also has ribs, sausages, vegetables, and Mac & cheese. The bakery is right there also if you are craving something sweet.

Placed an order for 100 pieces of chicken a whole week in advance to avoid any issues, paid for and everything. Went to pick chicken up day of event and they would not give it to me, told me I needed to have the invoice from when I paid a week ago because they didn't know what I was talking about. Went home and brought the invoice back and the deli associates refused to help me or even talk to me. They never made the order and the only manager on duty had no authority and there was a language barrier so he didn't understand the situation or what i was explaining the only person able to help me was the security guard ... thankfully was able to get a refund but what an awful experience. Terrible customer service
