Came here for a birthday party and didn't know what to expect. We ate and had some drinks before the show started and than sat on the couches for the show. If you have ever gone on a cruise and went to those entertainment programs after dinner this is what it reminded me of. There was a host on stage and then they got the audience to participate and be hands on. The host was actually pretty good. He was very engaging and it was interactive the entire time so we weren't falling asleep. There is an intermission in between and they do have a full bar in the back and food and snacks. I think if you go with friends or with a big group it would be a good time!! Great family fun!!

okay, first, I offered my granddaughter four or five choices of an activity (as we do) for her B'day (everyone gets that and restaurant of their choice) and she picked this. We weren't quite sure what it was. But the reviews were ok and the price wasn't too high so we got the tickets. Let me do "the bad" stuff first:BAD: Parking. VA Beach is a nightmare always. Especially in the summer, the two block up radius for 36 blocks so be aware of that. There are lots near the place but most were closed? All the meters were taken. The lot they suggest on the site is 30 dollars for the day and full. I couldn't understand the parking lot attendant when he was talking but he seemed to have wanted 30 dollars for us to continue through even though no spaces? We ended up parking about four blocks up next to a 7-11 or something like that and HOPING we wouldn't get towed. Many people complained they were towed. We didn't so good for me but be aware. There is a church lot and that was 20.00. A lot on top of the cost of the show.ALSO bad was their site ordering tickets. I don't know what happened. I originally ordered tickets and before I hit send my husband was over my shoulder and said I had the wrong date so I backed up and redid it with the right date. But I waited for tickets which were supposed to be in my email that never came and so day of we called and asked where the tickets were (I triple checked both emails/trash/deleted as well as Eventbrite and Ticketmaster and the phones. NOTHING. I was told "your tickets were for last week". So something was messed up when I backed out I guess where the ticket must've stuck for the date I don't know. To avoid this, I'd suggest you go in person for the tickets maybe. Or book by phone? Just a suggestion. Also bad, the couches in there falling apart and very dirty looking. Suggest you wear something where no skin exposed. When we left, from my grandkids getting up and down several times, a lot of couch covering was on the floor.Lastly a note to the lovely people working there: the grandkid got a small prize. It was a tube with tiny balls in it. Suggestion: Do NOT give these to small children. Supposedly they were supposed to be off the market because 1) kids think they are edible like the little balls you put on cake and they are NOT; they are poison actually and he knew this after tasting one and threw it out. What they are is something that is like a sponge that you supposed to put in water and they grow. 2) they are toxic and a choking hazard. I don't think you knew so telling now.THE GOOD:The lady was wonderful and allowed us to come in anyway, knowing/remembering the tickets no show the previous week and knew it was my granddaughters b'day. So she let us in because they were not fully booked (she just checked and saw it was indeed us). THANK YOU for that. Not sure who's at fault or the PC but honest issue there. Also good: They have a snack bar that is reasonably priced. The popcorn a lot more inexpensive than a movie theatre so we did get some. I appreciated not being bilked and this alone makes me consider a potential go back. The drinks we had were not great (tea). It was watery and flavored but the grandson said his lemonade was fine. Suggest get that or something other than tea. Seems the other drinks were fine. They had ice cream floats but didn't tell us till after the popcorn purchase. I just guess the smell of the popcorn as soon as kids went in they wanted some. There is a gift shop and the prices are reasonable but it's all pretty cheap stuff kids want (but inexpensive junk so buy or don't). The staff is great. Good personalities, interactive with the people, etc. They alone are a reason to go back. They gave out small pieces of candy for some of the kids doing things on stage etc which the kids enjoyed. A mini scavenger hunt, a few jokes and a story, a bit of audience trivia. The show itself was meh for an adult. It was interactive. My granddaughter is a social butterfly, overly friendly, so she enjoyed this a lot. She got to be a character and interact with people. It was more for kids than adults (the jokes and content) but they did get the adults involved quite a lot which was fun for the kids to laugh at the adults and the adults to cheer on their kids. Final thoughts: Go for the show, interaction, fill a couple hours for a reasonable price and get some reasonably priced snacks but plan well for parking and your ticket purchase. If you do that it'll be a great time for the kids and you will be ok to good with it too. I hope they can get couch covers or something they can wash though or something in the future. Short of that one critique or changing and adding more to the big story going on (it ended kinds of abrupt) I think it was a novel thing to do.

This was an AWESOME experience for my family. We went for the pirate show. My kids range in age from 5-13 and all of them LOVED this show. We went last night and today they are singing songs and asking to go again. I wish I had better understood you can arrive early for food and adult beverages --and they offer dining during the performance- their meal prices are so much more affordable than all of the restaurants on Atlantic Ave. Kid friendly foods, inexpensive, a bar and 2.5 hours of interactive entertainment that had all 4 of my kids engaged and smiling. The interaction was beautifully done in a way that was comfortable and no one seemed to feel embarrassed or put on the spot.Definitely recommend booking the couches. After a long day of touristing and tired feet --they were very plush and comfy. One of the most affordable activities we have done during our trip and the only one the kids have continued to talk and sing about. I'm going to be hearing "this is the greatest pirate story ever tooooold!" For the rest of my days, zero doubt.

This is the best place for family fun. Order pizza ahead! Affordable food. Truly a blast for the family. The people are so kind, it feels like home! Kids are free to be kids! We have been to several events, each one was fun for all. Murder mystery, family game show, and holiday events!

We were in need of some family fun after a long dreary beach day so we brought our teen and tween for a family game night without really knowing what to expect. Much to our surprise, this ended up being one of the highlights of our vacation. Game night sparked all of our interests, we all loved participating, laughs were plentiful and there was never a dull moment. Snacks and beverages (including wine) were priced right too. Finding a family friendly activity that checks all of these boxes can be tough these days so this place gets an A+ from us!

We went here on a date night, and weren't sure what to expect, and we walked away with what will be a family favorite experience for years to come. Family Fun Xperience offered a break from traditional movie nights and dinner dates. It was INTERACTIVE, and provided for CONVERSATION, mixed with the smallest amount of COMPETITION (bc winning makes everything better!).This concept is truly innovative, encouraging family interaction, building positive memories, and doing it in a public forum! From the well spaced-out couches for family groups, to multiple screens and lighting features, to the very personalized concession area, we loved every moment of this fantastic, family-friendly environment. Every show will be different (because audiences, themes, etc will be different). We went for a Valentines Day show, but they offer trivia nights and other neat concepts. There were only two other families the night we went, but energy was high, creativity and fun were at the forefront. I can't wait to bring extended family, church groups, or get some couples together for a big date night. It won't take long for this place to build a large following!

My husband and I went here with our 2 girls (10 and 18) to the first night of the Gigglemill Family Improv Show. We had no idea what to expect, but it was really fun! The prices were reasonable ($18 for adults, $12 for kids 12 and under) and there was a promo code emailed to me for an additional $2 off per ticket! When we got there, we were able to park right in front for free! No metered parking until April 1st. If that parking is full, you can pay $5 to park in the lot adjacent to the building starting in mid-March- before then it should be free also (just double-check with the ticket office when you get there). When you go in and redeem your ticket vouchers, you go up a big flight of stairs to the main room. When you purchase your tickets, you choose whether you want to sit in a couch for 4, chairs in the back, or comfy chairs on the side. There is also a long concession stand and a little shop with an eclectic mix of things. The food is definitely reasonably priced (not movie theater prices!). We liked that there were plenty of opportunities to be interactive, but you didn't have to interact if you weren't comfortable. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. There seems to be a big variety of events going on, we'll definitely be back!
