A shot from inside Prison Break. I got the owner's permission to take this.

My friends and I did the jail house room. I forgot the name of it. The room was well thought out. The price was very reasonable. Our game master was super nice and helpful. Overall, great experience.

This escape room was excellent. Our host--I can't remember his name--was so adorable and professional. We visited on 25 June 2024. I would recommend everyone try it and enjoy the experience like we did. You won't regret it; it's so fun!

We did Escape The 80's and then came back and did Prison Break. Both rooms were well designed and challenging enough to make you feel accomplished but not so much that you wanted to give up.We would rate Escape the 80's a 2.5/ 5 for difficulty. We would rate Prison Break 3.5/5 for difficulty. There were only two of us, we did fine, and had a lot of fun. We would suggest a max of four for both rooms even though you can go up to eight. Our game master was amazing! She was so friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend! The only thing missing was the after photo with the "I escaped" or similar sign. It would be cool to see other groups that made it

Escapism is a great place to do an escape room! Hard to believe it's the only one on the oceanfront, so it's perfect if you're visiting the area and staying nearby (though we are locals). Logan the owner is very passionate about escape rooms (among other things) and was incredibly nice. We did the jail break room and it was pretty challenging for my wife and I without being frustrating. Some of the puzzles stumped us for a bit, but we were still able to escape! If you love escape rooms I definitely recommend checking this place out. My only word of caution is that, at least for jail break, if no one in your group has EVER done an escape room, it's gonna be hard. I would say this is geared slightly more toward people who are looking for a good head-scratcher and have at least some experience with how to think through a room.

My adult kids convinced me to try escape rooms this year. This was the fourth one we did together. We did Escape the 80s and had a lot of fun. I like how the room allowed us to work together on certain puzzles and independently work through others so we could beat the clock. It seemed like of the four places we did this year, Escapism had the most puzzles and kept things challenging and interesting. I would definitely recommend Escapism of VB to anyone interested in escape rooms.

We were just about 90 seconds from solving it but alas...Nya was our host and she was super friendly and reassuring. We did get two small clues but we were pretty determined to do it ourselves. Great story and room decor. The 80s theme was fun.

This was such a fun experience! My boyfriend's family and I did the Prison Break room and we had such a great time! It's so clear that so much love and effort went into building this escape room and the owner clearly loves what he does. If you are looking for a fun way to kill an hour while on vacation or just while exploring Virginia Beach, definitely check it out!

Disappointing! We could not get out of the first room of a series of four in the story. Turns out it had not been set up correctly and one of the essential clues was missing. Our experience ended in tears with our 9-year-old sobbing uncontrollably, because we had lost. We asked for more time or a discount on a future visit, but Nia said, "No." What should have been a fun, albeit expensive, family activity, ruined our day. Cost was $203 plus $20 for parking for our family of five. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND.
